If you want the perfect beautiful suit sold by people who know how to fit it and what to wear it with...go to Marios on 6th downtown. Mario's has been a downtown fixture for many years (I think it is a Portland Based co. with store is Seattle and Portland only). They have suits that are more current as well as suits that are more traditional. They carry Armani, Hugo Boss, Prada and Brioni to name a few. They also have a great selection of ties there and a gorgeous selection of dresses (in case you need one for all of the other occaisions that surround a wedding!) I prefer a smaller store where you get more personal service! Ask for Terry and you will get great service.

High-end greats like Lora Piana can only be found here. Although the store was started in PDX, that doesn’t mean you've got to travel to Orgeon to find everything a Seattle guy could ever want in a wardrobe. There is nothing second class about this store. The service, the appearance, the merchandising -- its all "spot on". If you've got tailoring to do after a purchase, make sure these guys hadle it was well -- its nothing short of top quality.

Mario's has all the Men's designer lines that you could want from Prada to Ermenegildo Zegna and many more. Although it emphasizes Italian brands there are some others like Robert Talbott. The person that I use is Sandy Orsillo, she has LOTS of personality and will tell you what not to buy if it doesn't flatter you, the best thing is that she tells you when the sales are and tells you if what you want is on sale early on so you don't miss out. Marios can be on the pricey side so its not for the really budget minded, but a great deal can be had when they run a sale.
