great tailor, great clothes, poor customer service :-(
I went to Kuhlman based on reviews from this site. We needed someone to do some alterations on the very expensive suit that we bought for my fiancee to wear in our wedding.
I agree with other reviewer's who say that clothes sold here are pretty awesome. While my future husband was off getting measured I was kept entertained with the small but cute selection of women's clothing that they carry there.
My big complaint though is that I was completely ignored by the sales people working there. And I should point out that this is a *tiny* store so it takes significant effort to ignore a customer in this space. They were too busy browsing web sites on the computer/cash register and talking about what new songs they liked to be bothered with even acknowledging my existence. I was completely turned off and certainly wouldn't buy any merchandise from here. On the other hand, the tailor was uber professional and we would certainly return for his services. They just need to hire new sales staff :-)

Kuhlman
Kuhlman (2419 1st Ave. in Belltown) is the place to go for trendy clothing and for tailoring. Scott Kuhlman, the owner, is an amazing tailor. The clothes there are definitely trendy and unlike other clothing you can find in Seattle.

Kuhlman is the place you need. Not only do they have great clothing, but the owner is an amazing tailor and he can help you get the right suit. You have to check this place out!

Kuhlman
My boyfriend gets great unique pieces at Kuhlman. It's a hip boutique right next door to Cyclops in Belltown, and if you buy something from there, chances are, nobody else in Seattle has it--and that's what he likes about it. They have a good selection of funky t-shirts, jackets, shirts, sweatshirts, etc., and the staff is friendly and helpful. The store is tiny, so you know they're not selling mass-produced stuff--a nice switch from all the chain retailers out there. Check it out sometime. If you don't like it or find anything, you can always have a burger next door at Cyclops.

Girly stuff too.
Kuhlman also has soft tops and flirty dresses. The shop is small so they are very selective. I always walk out with a bag.

Great clothes
If you're tired of the Gap, Banana Republic and even Barney's (if you even venture in there), this is a great place to shop for men's clothes. In a city with limited options (this isn't NYC guys) Kuhlman's carries some great lines---Fred Perry, Munsingwear, t-shirts and shoes--all good stuff.
