...yes, we are already planning on going back to this nightclub after our first visit about 2 weeks ago. The service was attentive, appetizers palatable, and the band was awesome! This nightclub has a small dance floor, but nonetheless, people found their way around other couples and still enjoyed themselves. The crowd was a mix of ages and generations. The bathrooms were clean! A must in my book. Pros: Music, Service, Drinks Cons: Cover charge, Parking can be limited under the viaduct

We (3) went looking for live music, and while it was a great, everything else was a flop. The staff couldnt decide to try and charge us a cover until 20 minutes after sitting down and drinking our 2 beers and a juice ($15!). And the manager agreed with the waiter on all counts. I like good music, and the venue is awesome, but as long as these people are the ones charged with my care, I wont waste my time time to go back to bad treatment & no customer service. Highway 99 is a fantastic place to hear all kinds of music - and what's truly amazing is that they get some of the best blues bands in the world to visit Seattle on a regular basis. It doesn't hurt that the joint is jumping with some of the most gorgeous women in town. Full bar, diverse line-up, super chow - it's become my regular hang, and a much-needed spot to dance the blues away. Pros: Great blues tunes Cons: sometimes too crowded

I've been to this place many times and have always had a great experience with great service. Sometimes it gets pretty crowded on the weekends, so I've gotten in the habit of calling a few days ahead to reserve a table. Happy hour deals rock, CHEAP drinks and appetizers (three bucks is cheap, right?), great place for after work if you work downtown or near the waterfront, which I do. They've been changing the menu up pretty often too. The nachos that someone wrote about below - I agree, not that sweet - but so many other things on the menu are f---ing amazing. I personally recommend the catfish sandwich and the pabst blue ribbon shrimp. This is a really cool place, the staff is friendly and the sound and sightlines are amazing for a music club.

This is a place we want to like. It has the best schedule of blues musicians in the Puget Sound area, and you're right on top of them; you see every facial grimace and pick of the guitar. We didn't like service, and I think it's a combination of a club trying to maximize its profits by hiring the minimum number of servers and hiring servers that think that disappearing into the back for 40 minutes at a time is part of the job description. We didn't like the food. It's a combination of an extremely limited menu - almost bar appetizer-like - combined with cheap ingredients (tortilla chips that tasted like they rolled off of the Brand X Chip Factory in China), and poor preperation. This review isn't based on one visit as we've been there a half dozen times. Each time we came for the music, but left disappointed because of the service and the food.

I was apprehensive about this place because I'm a city guy and it's in tourist central, but I'm so glad I went and I've gone back several times since! The food rocks - it's a casual menu of mostly New Orleans food and it's very high quality. The music is always great, usually blues but often the related styles like rockabilly, or zydeco, or r&b or soul, or funk. Seating is the best, not a bad seat in the house, supper club style - imagine if the Triple Door or Jazz Alley was more intimate and folksy and with even better service. Highway 99 is like 5-star service for regular people, a juke joint vibe with Copa Cabana charm. Pros: Everything, even parking Cons: Bathroom - not the best

I have been to this place twice now, the first time was few weeks ago. The food was AMAZING and the music was off the hook !! Band that evening was Bump Kitchen ... it was more like a concert. I actually thought wow this place has gotta be to good too be true so I made a point of hitting this spot again. I kept an eye out on the schedule and found that that same band was playing there last night (thursday)... it was even better than the first time .. all ready planning my next visit ... HIGHLY RECOMENDED !!! Pros: great atmospher, good food, friendly staff

The owners are great and the drinks and service is always the best. Try the Gumbo to warm you up on those chilly days. HIGHLY recommended.
