After being in a car accident and having major whiplash, I consulted with Abrams Chiropractic Clinic to seek immediate care. They took wonderful care of me seeing me about 4 times a week. With over 20 years of experience and well trained and knowledgeable chiropractors and massage therapists, I trusted and felt confident in the service that I was receiving. They did joint adjustment and regular checkups for a few months, and then referred me to their massage specialist where I received relaxing massage as the final touches to restore my joints and muscles to their original shape. If you are ever involved in a car accidents, get whip-lash, need a massage, or just a wellness checkup, I highly recommend Abram's Chiropractic Clinic.

I am a long time client of the Ballard Health Center. I originally went in for back pain from sitting infront of my computer all day. I could not believe what a difference regular massage has made. The staff if very professional and talented. They don't charge extra for using the whirlpool, hot stone, deep tissue etc. I highly recomend this center.

I have always led a very active lifestyle and have felt the stress it has had on my body. For years I had thought of regular massages as a luxury. Now that I have had weekly massages with Jan, I believe it is not only an enjoyable and relaxing experience, it is a necessity to my overall well-being.
When I first went to Jan, I was surprised at how she was so attuned to my own personal health needs. She asked many questions to learn more about how she can help me. I could tell that she not only knew about massage as an art form, but she also knew how to use it as an effective tool to heal. Her massage room is warm and inviting. I soon found that all the knots in my back were magically melting under her fingertips. I quickly realized that this one-time “luxury” needed to be a part of my weekly routine.
Jan has proven to be a true professional as well as a master of technique. I never knew my body could feel this healthy! She has definitely played an important part in my efforts to manage daily stress and maintain my overall health.

Betty Jean is a top-notch healer-period. I have had a ton of massage in not-too-long life to deal with chronic pain and she is among the very best. Her rates are very reasonable at $65 an hour, though you give up the spa atmosphere in exchange for a somewhat noisy corner building office. The room itself is peaceful and she has a rotating art "gallery" in her office, but the street traffic is ever present. That said, if you are not just the occasional luxury-treatment massage person and actually want someone to help heal your body, I would definitely go to her rather than a Gene Juarez or some other salon type experience. Other truly excellent massage therapists are Lynne Compton on Capitol Hill and Valerie Olney in the Roosevelt area--both are far less costly than salon therapists and with Lynne and Valerie, because they work for a chirpopractor and naturopath respectively you may be able to bill insurance. Don't have numbers handy for either though.

If you want to heal, come here. Come sick, sad, cranky, stressed, but do NOT come without a positive mental attitude. I started coming to Dr. Scott six years ago. I do go as much, because I don't need to, but that speaks to Dr. Scott's ability. He's fast, efficient and remembers the names of hundreds of clients. There are a few glitches (some days/times are packed) but it's worth it. It feels like a family there. Sometimes I just go to be near some good, solid, caring energy. There is a lot of focus on self-healing, healing without drugs, and relieving stress so that our bodies don't have to deal with it.
Dr. Scott is understanding and flexible and I highly recommend him.

More
A massage that has long lasting positive benefits does exist and the magic hands of Dan Christofferson delivers healing. Does that sound cheesy?? It may for words can't even describe how Dan's work has changed my life: 6 years ago I was told that I needed an invasive knee surgery that would result in me having to stop all the activities I love (roller blading, skiing, hiking, biking). So, I went to Dan. I would describe what he does as postural reconstruction as he has essentially changed the way I move and hold myself. He calls it Heller Work. Whatever it is I am healthy, more active and without pain than I ever have been.
In all honesty he has given me my life and my mobility.

I have had many massages at different spas and it's usually a bit of a crapshoot - you never know what to expect. Since about a year ago, now me and my honey just go to Dreamclinic. Convenient hours and they have great depth when it comes to staff. They must have a great hiring process because I have never had a bad massage. Keep it up Dreamclinic!
