I have worked with Nancy Heller, on and off, for about two years. It has made a marked difference for me.
Nancy has a real handle on the theories underlying family psychodynamics and family systems including those affected by addiction or abuse. I have gained clarification around and developed a much deeper understanding of my thought patterns and feelings which has empowered me to make good choices in my relationships with my husband and extended family (of origin--mom, dad, steps).

I haven't had any personal experience with Don but he gets glowing references from people that I trust. Your experience might be different.
I don't know if would make sense to set up three appointments and agree on one person picking the two that the other gets to pick the one from.
I couldn't choose perfect because I have never heard any one describe their therapist as perfect.

Victoria Coen is located on Queen Anne, right down the street from Trader Joe's.
Victoria is a thoughtful and helpful therapist who truly listens, offers input and suggestions, and many times, sends you on your way with practical activities to incorporate into your daily life. Having a conversation with Victoria is the norm -- you're not just being asked questions and doing all the talking.
The only drawback is that, when I was seeing her, her appointments tended to run over, so I was not always on schedule. She did begin allotting 90 minutes for sessions, however, so this problem might be alleviated by now.
Victoria does both individual and couples therapy. Highly recommend.
