Had been wanting to check out this place for happy hour, which is great btw, and realized the main upstairs booth area would be perfect for the surprise birthday party I was planning for my boyfriend. Had gone in on a Sunday night, which seemed a little quiet in there and thought I'd throw the party on a Sunday as well. The bartender assured me that would be no problem. I called again closer to my timeframe to get it set up and left a voicemail that the owner called me back on a day or two later. Turns out he's an acquaintance of mine from some time ago - but I don't think that would've mattered. He was more than helpful and there was no charge to reserve that space. When I arrived the friendly female server (didn't get her name) offered to help me set up the balloons I'd brought in and her and the bartender (Aaron) both offered me a drink to get started. People started showing up very quickly, the surprise went off without a hitch and the staff couldn't have been more gracious or accommodating - especially since we had some confusion with who in our party would set up the tab. They were very patient. We were loud and boisterous even as our party died down late into the night and they were still more than courteous. I love the Diablo from the drink menu and the nachos were pretty awesome. I think we drank them out of a specific kind of tequila.. and they just laughed it off. They were really great people, a lot of people in our party commented on them and how great the space is. Parking around there is difficult, but then what area of Cap Hill isn't. Highly recommended!
