I wasn't expecting much based on their storefront, however I was pleasantly surprised when I went inside. By far the biggest selection of beers that I've seen anywhere in the Seattle area. I am partial to Belgian ales and they have a healthy selection of them.

In a tiny little strip mall-let just east of Aurora on Northgate Way lives a huge selection of unusual beers from around the world. Ostensibly named "Big Star", it's known to it's customers better as "Hugest Beers" - a more apt, if less gramatical moniker reflect in appropriately huge letters on the sign out front. Within this little hole in the wall, you'll find a wide assortment of beers, ales, stouts, porters, and... probably whatever you're looking for (and much you didn't know existed). Nice selection of Belgian ales. The Brits and Germans are well represented, and there are Slavic & Japanese beers as well as the ubiquitous (but tasty) local microbrews. The proprietor is a bit crusty but warms up once he sees you a few times. Be warned - cash only here! Be adventurous and try something new!
