Have been having great success with this nursery. Customer service is outstanding, employees are friendly and knowledgable, plant selection and vitality is excellent. After pricing similar products in the Seattle area, West Seattle Nursery equals or beats them all.

I went there looking for a specific tree. They were out of them, but said to leave my number and they would call when more were in. I was told they would be ordering more soon. 2 months later, and no phone call, I stopped in to check on the progress. I stood in line at the cashier, where I initially left my number, and when it was my turn I was sent away because I had nothing to purchase in my hands at the time! Thats right, after waiting in line, I was told to find someone outside to help me... WHAT??!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! now they will not get any sale from me, ever! Pros: none Cons: terrible customer service! not reliable.

Went to West Seattle Nursery today in the bitter cold to get a medium sized planter for my deck. I had no clue what would be a good plant or plants for a west facing exposed deck. I appreciated that the staff gave me room to browse, while letting me know they were ready to help when I needed. I was very pleasantly surprised to find they offering potting service for each planter purchased, so that really saved me from making a mess on my deck or having to buy potting soil. Great local place, prices seemed fair for a small operation. Nice gift shop with great indoors ideas. They made a return customer out of me. Thank you WS Nursery! Pros: Great Selection, Local, Friendly knowledgable folks Cons: Small parking lot, seemed a bit understaffed

This is a very nice local nursery with a good selection of plands, both indoor and outdoor, and your typical garden accessories such as fountains, birdbaths, decorative pieces, garden tools, potting soil and the like. I was impressed with the selection of house plants as often nurseries tend to focus on outdoor only. Prices are pretty average, not too high or too low. I don't know how often they have sales, but they do have a few plants at clearance prices. PROS: good selection of both indoor and outdoor CONS:

WS Nursery provides a great alternative to being at the mercy of the limited stock at the mega-hardware chains. Their prices are understandabley a bit higher, but well worth the range and variety of plants they offer. I've found staffing to be a bit sparse, but usually manage to track someone down. They also stock beautiful fountains, bird baths and other garden focal points. PROS: breadth of inventory CONS: slightly high prices

I like this nursery pretty well, and it's a lot closer to where I live (West Seattle) than Sky Nursery which is up in Shoreline. It's not as big as Sky Nursery, though, so they dont have as much variety. I usually come here when I'm looking for small gift plants they do have a good selection of those. PROS: not as big of selection as Sky Nursery CONS: local location, good gift plants
