This place has serviced my mower for over 10 years. They are not polished, slick talking sales people so probably rub a few demanding yuppies the wrong way. On the other hand, if you want your mower fixed or to buy a used one that works well, go here. I have never taken mine back for the same repair, they fix it once and it stays fixed. It also has been mowing a lot of grass for over a decade without failing once. How much money do these people make complaining about high prices?! These guys are not rich.

Our earlier one experience with Aurora Lawnmower was positive (except for long wait times on repairs and high prices). This time, they have really gone downhill. The owner Mike was flat out rude and unprofessional when we tried to find out the status of a mower repair. He complained that we had lost our claim ticket and his new computer system couldn't find our repair job by last name. Based on this negative customer service experience, exceptionally long wait times on repairs, and high prices on new equipment, I would give Aurora Lawnmower a negative review.

I haven't used them, but I drive by there all the time and they've been there for years. They have dozens of used lawnmowers for sale, and also do repairs. Right across from Aurora Cycles...

This shop has tuned my used mower for the last few years, bringing a Craigslist 'throwaway' back to life for several more years of useful service. I felt bad watching one of the mechanics lifting my old cheap lawnmower out of my Jeep, with his wizened features, long white beard and matching hair. He took a quick look at my beast and pronounced emphatically what the problem was, and asked me if I wanted to bother fixing it since it was such a cheap model, but he assured me I could get a few more years out of it once he had worked on it. Their prices may seem high, given how cheaply you can pick up a mower at Lowe's or Home Depot, but it's definitely a case of getting what you pay for.

This is such a great place if you need to have your mower serviced or you're looking to buy a new/used one. The guys that work there are really knowledgable and they are real old-timers (they've seen a few models in their time)---very cool business and takes you back in time a bit. I bought a used mower from them and it works great, was a lot cheaper than a new one, and the service was very old school.
