Although the address is not correct as it is located under the Harbor Steps on Post Alley/University Ave. Koji is a place I'll go back to. The food is traditional and it may seem a little too traditional for some. But I love ramen and the ramen here is tasty. Whether its the wakame ramen, the pork ramen, or plain, its DELICIOUS. Ramen in my heart will always be above pho or any other soup noodle dish even the long list of Korean noodle soup dishes I've had in my life. Its full of flavor...and probably msg...but its good. I'm rather ambivalent about the other dishes, which can be a little too salty for my taste, but during lunch they have amazingly filling and splitting good deals ESPECIALLY as downtown restaurants go. The sushi is something that some can't appreciate. It is traditional. It might be a little lackluster. But I can almost say that the nigiri and the rolls are consistently average or maybe above average. I have yet to have a meal here that wasn't as expected. Seattle sushi has definitely let me down so many times that its nice to find a place that doesn't try to wow you, rather just satisfy the simple needs at a decent price. Happy hour prices make it affordable vs. Sushi-land prices for lesser quality. The fish is fresh (another inconsistency in seattle). And if you read my other reviews you might wonder why my ratings are a little wacky, its because it rates my experience not the quality or the level of service of the restaurant offers. And for an economical japanese restaurant, I'd rate this place 5 stars. Is the ramen as good as takohachi's was? no. Is its sushi better than musashi's in wallingford or saitos or shiros or etc...? not really. But as a jack of all trades, is it something that will satisfy my wants when cash is low but I dont want to go to fast food joints? YES, very much so.
Pros: Free tea, good lunch combos, fresh sushi, view of water
Cons: parking, sometimes too traditional food

In one of the worst parts of downtown, this adorable restaurant stands out like an oasis. The decor is attractive, the staff were very friendly, and the food was great <3 I went with 3 friends (one of whom is Japanese) and we were all very impressed. Amazingly enough, it has been in that location for almost 30 years.
Pros: Clean, Atmosphere

I was on a road trip driving from Bay Area to Seattle. I picked up a this July month Sunset magazine as I arrived and saw an article which Arita was first listed for best place for Japanese cuisine. Just like the article said " a hole in the wall wander on Phinney Ridge/Greenwood" It was one and the only...with no imitation ~ and incredibly good. Not to mention their attentive servers with great smiles ;)
Try their sushi/sashimi varieties.
Pros: homey atmosphere, generous service, cheap food
Cons: fairly crowded

My boyfriend and I are on a little mission to visit and explore many sushi restaurants in Seattle. This one by far has been the best. We prefer a smaller restaurant to the more busy bustling 'corporate' ones, and if you are the same this is the place for you. Maximum 10 tables, getting there before the dinner rush is suggested. Extremely competent and engaging staff, they provide recommendations which were much appreciated. The environment was nice, clean, and homey. The 'Fire on Da Mountain' roll was excellent, so much so we ordered a second roll despite being full! This is a highly suggested restaurant. Go check it out!
Pros: Creative yummy sushi rolls, service, environment
Cons: Parking can be interesting

I was in Seattle for a business trip and decided to try out World Fresh Eatery because ALL of my business partners in Seattle kept raving about it and telling me it was the perfect quick-stop for lunch but with an excellent variety of Asian cuisine and a delectable salad bar. To my delight, the food absolutely exceeded my high standards and expectations for Asian food, the sushi is what won me over. I felt the need to return the favor to World Fresh by leaving an honest review of my wonderful experience.
Pros: Fresh Sushi, Wide variety Salad Ba, Quality Service

The other two reviews are spot on. Excellent teriyaki! I'll be making this a weekly visit from here on out, for sure. As far as prices go -- it was $6.50 including tax for dark meat chicken, so you *will* pay $7, contrary to one of the other reviews - but it was a ton of rice, a lot of chicken, some cabbage salad, and sauce -- enough for two meals. I might get the extra meat next time and make it two meat-heavy meals (plenty of meat with the regular order, but more is always more!) Definitely a great find. It's on the NE corner of 15th and Druvas - you can try parking on Druvas, or one block west there's church parking to borrow if it's not in use... I didn't see parking on 15th or on the alley behind the store...

I always eat here because the food is great and they always give generous serving, they have free soup while waiting for your order and the couple who owns the place are very nice people.
