More
When you first walk into Shun, the first thing you'll notice is the friendly smiles and greetings from both the wait staff and the sushi chefs. Seating is very prompt and the tables are very clean. With the colors and lighting, the atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming. Although it wasn't rated romantic by the so called "critics", we've found it to be perfect for a date. There is a candle lit on each table and the wait staff does an excellent job of "remaining in the background". The variety of sushi available is great and the taste is fantastic! If there's something not on the menu, the chefs are happy to accommodate when possible. And if you're sitting at the sushi bar and don't quite know what you want, again the chefs are more than pleased to present options based upon your likes and dislikes-- they know best. On many occasions, the chefs will make something special for you given flexibility for them to remain creative.
Just as you don't read a book by it's cover, don't judge Shun by the critics. Go try it for yourself!
Pros: Parking, Ambience, Service, Food, Menu
Cons: Not suitable for large groups

If your a sushi lover than this restaurant is a must go. They have over thirty varieties of sushi's for you to try from, and get this it is all you can eat. Also not only is the sushi great but if you like seafood you should totally try this restaurant to they have a wide range of seafoods for you to try from cooked in different type of ways. Also the best part is they also have a huge dessert bar, with over thirty different types of dessert, my favorite of course is the cherry cheesecake. Not only is the food fresh and great, but the service is excellent too. Also the restaurant itself is a beauty, the decorations and interior design is unbelievable, and it has a beautiful view of Downtown Seattle. It is a great place for lunch or dinner, so if you love sushi, seafood and dessert, you should definitely go try it.

This was one of the pricier meals I've ever had but it was worth it just this once for the experience. It's a reservation-only place & they start preparing your feed in advance right in front of you. Seating is limited and everyone sits around the bar while the chef cooks so it's a very cozy experience. The food was delicious and the seafood very fresh. I was so full. I both wanted the meal to end (b/c of fullness) and continue (b/c of the yumminess!). I definitely want to go here again. I think I will give the $60 omakase a try -- I don't think I can afford $100 each time!
Parking here can be a nightmare but if you are eating upstairs, you get the special privilege of parking in the private garage.

I'm fairly new to sushi, but I am very picky and I know what tastes good. Bento Sushi (in the Crown Hill Neighborhood, Ballard) has a great selection of sushi that isn't made of just fish. The Philly Roll (Cream Cheese filled) and Spicy Crispy Chicken Roll, and Chicken or Beef Teriyaki roll are just some examples of the choices available to you. The 16 piece, 6.95 special is also a good bargain. This place is almost always busy, so you may have to wait for a seat, but I think that it is very much worth it.
Pros: Great selection for Sushi beginners

I found Gamba's while at the dog park across the street from his restaurant. I saw the $1 sushi happy hour sign and decided OK... Well that was 3-4 months ago and I have been eating there at least 2-3 times each week. This place looks expensive, but is the best deal on Sushi in all of Seattle.
Gamba has created his own rolls which are indescribable. The people are freindly and we have found that people tend to share their last few bites (untouched of course) with other customers. We followed along and do the same when we have something left. - His portions are large, inexpensive and delicious. I found most of his customers are regulars. Once you visit Gamba's you will become a regular as well.
Great selection on Beer, Wine and Saki.
A menu that makes sense.
Great Pricing.
All day happy hour on Saturdays.
Weekday Happy Hour from 4pm -11pm
They deliver as well. What more could you want? Oh yes one more note... The Deep Fried Calamari I had for the first time just last night. Wow,,, He cuts it up, dips it Lightly into batter (excellent batter) and when he serves it with his special sauce, it leaves you speechless. Try it - Mike Taylor
Pros: Best Sushi, Steak and Calamari

Actually, I saw them taking out a patty from the refrigerator and it was definitely not frozen like you (doserate) claim. It was on a wax paper sheet and looked like fresh, pink ground beef that was hand molded. It wasn't cooked at all before the grill. I'd say these burgers are the most addicting burgers I've tasted. The sauce in side the burgers is so delectable especially with the crunchy lettuce and bits of fresh onions (I don't even like onions!!) Try the cheeseburgers or bacon sourdough, or fish and chips. milk shakes r a must (peach or strawberry)
Pros: fresh meat patties, milkshakes, fast
Cons: no drink refills

I am addicted to their Alaskian rolls there. The smoked salmon with the avocado is in perfect balance. The prices are great, and everything is fresh and good quality. I really love Ginza in Bellevue too. But when I want to satisfy basic sushi cravings and don't want to drive all the way there, this is just the place to do it.
Pros: Price, Service, Quality
Cons: Parking
