This Toshi's is excellent - in customer service and quality. I can not say the same for all - I even refused to go back to a Toshi's in in Interbay. If you're here in Westwood Village, however, and needing lunch this Toshi's is frequently busy for a good reason. Busy but fast and very pleasant.
Brought several people here and a large group once and never disappointed.

Happy hour could use a better menu, but the prices are great at that time.
Pros: Happy Hour, service

In addition to making some really tasty asian entrees, this place serves a nice variety of bubble tea, and gives you a free drink with a very reasonably priced meal. We ate in, and it was well worth it.

Ah-so has probably the best combination of quality and price in Seattle. The fish is always the "freshest I have ever had" and the flavors of all the other non-sushi food are definitely well thought out and awesome. The owner has a great ability for remembering your name (even on my second time there!) and the whole place just makes you feel welcome. I highly recommend this restaraunt. Be sure to give them enough time to make your meal though - prep is a bit slow (but worth it)
Pros: FRESH fish, friendly service, no lines
Cons: long prep time, not amazing interior

I love this place. The owner's clearly use the freshest ingredients. Very quick service, too. If you order take-out for one, you never have to wait more than five-seven minutes. I particularly love their Yummy Combo plate--and as a woman, I order the small---you receive PLENTY of food. In fact, I end up giving away half the chicken, as there is just too much. Nice touch with the crisp, fresh vegetable roll, and p-stickers. Not greasy, just light and perfectly fried. And a generous couple scoops of white rice. Their soy sauce is good too...not salty at all. You get a little lettuce salad with poppy seed dressing, too--yes, it's iceberg lettuce, but that's okay---nice crunch :) You may pay around $9.00 with tax for the small, combo Yummy Teriyaki---but it is filling and very delightful. I highly recommend you order from this small establishment. Don't let the silly name or modest decor fool you--the food is quality for the price, and over all it is quite delicious.

I recently tried New Tokyo Teriyaki in Des Moines and I was not disappointed. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. I had the pork teriyaki, a house specialty, and it was served with rice and a salad - making for a good value (at less than $8). The place is clean and the service was fast and very friendly. Food is made to order, so if you are in a rush you should call ahead for take-out. I highly recommend you try New Tokyo Teriyaki - you will be back again and again (like me)!

My family and I have been going to Kamei for years. We go in groups of 8-14 and they have always been great. The atmosphere is really casual and comfortable. They give you warm towels and tea to start off. The menu contains a wide variety of items that includes a long list of starters. The bento meals are nicely displayed, generous, and delicious. The sushi and sashimi is the best deal you can get out of the three sushi restaurants on California Ave. I usually order either the saba bento, red dragon roll, and the small sashimi plate.
Definitely worth checking out for a good and inexpensive meal.

Teriyaki Bowl is the best teriyaki i've had here. Try the spicy chicken or kung pao chicken. They are both great. Like most teriyaki places, it's fast and cheap. They also have parking, which is nice.
