I love this place. The owner's clearly use the freshest ingredients. Very quick service, too. If you order take-out for one, you never have to wait more than five-seven minutes. I particularly love their Yummy Combo plate--and as a woman, I order the small---you receive PLENTY of food. In fact, I end up giving away half the chicken, as there is just too much. Nice touch with the crisp, fresh vegetable roll, and p-stickers. Not greasy, just light and perfectly fried. And a generous couple scoops of white rice. Their soy sauce is good too...not salty at all. You get a little lettuce salad with poppy seed dressing, too--yes, it's iceberg lettuce, but that's okay---nice crunch :) You may pay around $9.00 with tax for the small, combo Yummy Teriyaki---but it is filling and very delightful. I highly recommend you order from this small establishment. Don't let the silly name or modest decor fool you--the food is quality for the price, and over all it is quite delicious.

I love this place! The staff is very friendly, and service is fast. I used to work for a very popular teriyaki place, that I thought was the greatest ever... But this one tops it. It's how a restaurant shoud be ran; the owner is there, helping and making sure everone is happy, even on many occations, taking orders. It a very friendly place; you feel like family there. My husband and I loved it so much the first time, we went back the very next day! Now every time we go, we feel like we know everyone that works there. GREAT PLACE!!
Pros: Great Staff, Great Food!!
Cons: no complaints!

We go here often because it is fast and local. It is family owned and they are very friendly. The prices are great and the teriyaki is even better. They also have your general asian selections, yaki soba, etc.

Great food, great price, clean business, great people and you never, never go away hungry. I do not like the over all ambience of the cafe but all in all it is ok. Would like to see an in door and a out door, better tables etc. But all in all it is ok. My wife and I really hope they never change the chef, he is a good neighbor and treats my wife and myself with courtesy. The drinks could be served better and the traffic flow could use a change.
Pros: Hope they keep up the good work
Cons: None

I have purchased food at 3 of these restaurants. Of the 3, the one on Broadway had the best food, however the worker(s) and manager are extremely rude and unprofessional. All 3 restaurants are dirty and in need of repair. The East Lake Uniion location serves virtually all fat for it's pork dishes, and none of the restaurants want to improve on or re-imburse for un-quality food, especially Kumi, and they argue with the customers at the Broadway location. None of the employees seem to communicate in English very well, and no one either knows or will give the owner's name and phone number..
Pros: Food & price
Cons: Attitude and Service

I can't believe this place is still in business. One time about 9 years ago I ordered take out from Yasukos. They added, at no extra charge, a live COCKROACH in the bag. That was the LAST time I ever went there and I tell everyone I know not to eat there.
Pros: cockroaches
Cons: cockroaches

The other two reviews are spot on. Excellent teriyaki! I'll be making this a weekly visit from here on out, for sure. As far as prices go -- it was $6.50 including tax for dark meat chicken, so you *will* pay $7, contrary to one of the other reviews - but it was a ton of rice, a lot of chicken, some cabbage salad, and sauce -- enough for two meals. I might get the extra meat next time and make it two meat-heavy meals (plenty of meat with the regular order, but more is always more!) Definitely a great find. It's on the NE corner of 15th and Druvas - you can try parking on Druvas, or one block west there's church parking to borrow if it's not in use... I didn't see parking on 15th or on the alley behind the store...
