Great hotel located in downtown. Convenient to all of the central sites of the City. Walk to Safeco field, to the Market, or to Westlake Center, etc. Luxuary hotel for business or pleasure.

I stayed at the Alexis in January for a romantic weekend with my very hot boyfriend. They didn't have our room ready, so they bought us drinks in the Library Bar until they did! The bartender was great that day and the cocktails led to ........The second day, he (the bartender, silly) was L*O*A*D*E*D beyond belief but was still functional. Such is the charm of Seattle. The room was impeccable. The view was georgeous. I loved the art...you'd have to be a narrow-minded bigot not to. The staff were so great. The bed was, well, worth the trip. Go. Enjoy.
Pros: Pet-friendly, parking, ambience, comfort
Cons: Rain

I love the Alexis Hotel. This is where President Clinton would stay when he was in town - the man has good taste. This is a historic hotel with such charm. There are David Chihuli glass displays in the lobby. The hotel calls itself "a work of art" and this is really true; they carry that theme through the entire hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated and each has it's own "work of art" - some have original paintings, others have little sculptures.
The Alexis is part of the Kimpton hotel group - by far my favorite group of hotels. (The Monaco and the Vintage Park are also Kimpton properties.) No one does upscale and unique as well as Kimpton.

Spent 9 nights at Alexis and had the greatest service I have ever had. Staff is amazing in the response time to a request, great with tips on where the locals eat, shop and what to do in the city. Hotel caters to any whim you may have and was available for you 24/7. Would not even consider staying anywhere but here when traveling to Seattle. Nice size rooms. clean was an understatement and the staff is best in any class.
Pros: Location to market, cleanlienss, service
Cons: Homeless in area
