This is one of my favorite hotels to stay in during a weekend great away to the city. The rooms are very nice and the beds are very comfortable, it is hard to get out of them in the morning. The views are unbelievable too. I have stayed here 3-4 times and every room I have had was spectacular. The staff is delightful too. We had a bachlorette party here one time and they went out of their way to get us anything that we needed. Great shopping and places to eat nearby. I will be coming back to this hotel for future stays.

My 70 year-old parents have made the Watertown their primary place to stay when they come from out of town to visit our family. While I think it's really classified as a "Business Hotel", it borders on "Boutique". The building is newly constructed with great modern touches. The rooms are well insulated (for sound) and super clean. My folks love the simple breakfast in the lounge - fresh fruit, cereals, etc.. and they offer wine in the evening. The staff bake chocolate chip cookies all afternoon. Free bikes are available as well - you're only two blocks from the Burke Gilman trail. It's definately the best hotel near the UW.
Overall, it's the amenities and little touches that add up at the Watertown. Well worth it.

we stayed at the hotel over the last weekend with two small children. The room was comfortable and had a great layout. Their ala cart program was a lifesaver for keeping the kids busy when we were in the room. breakfast was good for complimentary breakfast (eggs & sausage included). One of the better hotels I've stayed at in the Seattle area for the price.
Pros: room layout, ala cart, comfort, friendly staff, breakfast

I stayed at the W for a business convention (zzzzzzzzzz). From the minute our cab dropped us off, it was show time. The entire staff are well trained and in the business of catering to people. I know this because I DO customer service for a living. I had a suit tailored at Nordstrom while there, my personal shopper dropped it off and the CONCIERGE actually took it to my room, unwrapped it, and hung it in the closet. No one had to "look" for it when I asked. They all knew where it was. I'm salivating just thinking about that! The ambience is amazing, my room was amazing, LOVE BLISS LABS being from NYC. This place is dialed in. The bar hops every night. It's efficient yet fun for business. Met some girls from Portland escaping their doldrum lives who were having an awesome time. And if I actually had a man in my life, it would be a great place for romance.

This has become a good place to meet up with friends downtown, especially if you work downtown. The vibe is good for maintaining conversation and the drinks are good enough to keep you there. I try to go early to avoid getting stuck in the congestion that occurs when it starts to fill.
Pros: location and decor
Cons: can fill up quick

Amy and I are in Seattle a few times a year. We stay at The W Hotel whenever we are here. The hotel is edgy and modern - typical W - and we like it a lot. The rooms are large and as you get above the 15th floor have incredible views (2002 is our favorite room.) The bar scene is usually hopping, the appetizers - especially the "Sexy Fries" are awesome, and the service is nice. There's a small workout room, but I usually just put on my running shoes and head down to the water and then take a right on Alaskan way - it's a nice long (> 4 miles) boardwalk that goes through a park at about mile 2. Finally, there's a Starbucks literally across the street so it's easy to bring my princess her vente latte first thing in the morning after I get back from my run.

I have nothing to complain about Vermont Inn really. It is fully furnished, I have my bed, chair, table, drawers, spacious bathroom, personal ref, iron and ironing board, and a large TV. Utilities are also covered, will just need to pay an extra $40 for the internet. Staff are very approachable and friendly, they immediately attend to your inquiries or requests. The room is not that big though, but ok if you're staying alone, and the stove and ref are not that big as well (not sure if you get the bigger rooms). My only concern is that it doesn't have a washer and dryer in unit. Overall, a really great place to stay especially for those who have just arrived in Seattle.
