We had a horrible experience at this restaurant on V-day. Seated next to the door, with freezing air that blew by every time it opened. Took 10 minutes for our waitress to arrive, she made no offer of something to drink, just "what do you want for dinner"
My husband had reserved a special bottle of wine (he called in advance) and when she inquired with the manager, the snotty look on his face in response to her was all we needed to decide we were not staying. Bread was literally thrown on our table by somebody who was running by, and overall ambience was loud and unromantic. NOT recommended.
Pros: None that we could tell
Cons: Inexperienced Waitstaff, Bad ambience

A couple of friends and I went for dinner on Valentine's Day; prior to making the reservations a few weeks ago, I had asked specifically if there was a special Valentine's Day menu because we didn't want to be restricted to ordering off a prix fixe menu. I was informed at that time that there was no special menu. When we got there, we were told that there was in fact a prix fixe menu and that I must have misunderstood the person taking my reservation - no apology given.
We decided to stay anyway and sat through the 4 course set menu. The offerings were nothing special - the lobster bisque was too salty and tasted like canned lobster. The salad looked like it was thrown together from leftovers from the night before. The steak and lobster entree were cooked decently but the steak was underseasoned. Dessert was a letdown - the cheesecake parfait was like stale pudding and the chocolate torte seemed like something you could get in the frozen food section at the supermarket.
The food was not only disappointing, but our waitress was clueless. We asked her several questions throughout the meal, like what the special cocktail was, to explain the desserts - she'd forget our question and then not know what she was talking about. All things considered, dinner was too pricey and not worth the $75 we paid per person (not including tax, tip, and bottle of wine). I would never, ever go back to this restaurant, not even for happy hour.
Pros: valet parking at the hotel
Cons: overpriced, poor service, uninspired food

We had a delicious lunch the day of our arrival in Seattle (Feb 11th). The Salad Nicoise was fresh & very well prepared as was my fresh cod with perfectly cooked aspargus & yellow beets. The waiter was friendly & attentive. We had the opportunity to meet Michael White, the executive chef & applauded him for his recipes. When I return to Seattle, I will definitely return to Brasserie Margaux.

Great Atmosphere and Great Entertainment on weekends and the food was delicious. Loved the restaurant will definately go back! Their seafood bouillabaisse was so huge and tasty and the stock they used was excellent with saffron and Pernod base, Best I ever had anywhere. Server was knowledgable and very helpful with the food and wine. Great place during the week also to go for a quiet escape night out for relaxing evening and wonderful food. A must try when your in Seattle.
Pros: Complimentary Parking in the Warwick Garage

My husband and I decided to try this 'French' restaurant. The night started off nice when I found out we were able to park free at the hotel. Score 1 for the restaurant. It was a Saturday night and it wasn't crowded but not empty either. They put us at a table in the middle of the room under the brightest, most horrible light ever. We told the manager that we were not happy with the lighting so he dimmed it but then turned it right back up. He didn't even come back over to make sure that what he did satisfied us. Needless to say I was annoyed but I kept telling myself- the food will be worth it.
I am a veggie and they had a couple of options so I ordered mushroom ravioli and my husband ordered seafood crepes. We were served bread that tasted a little old (definitely wasn't fresh from the oven) but it was edible. We typically drink beer but their selection was dismal so we went for some wine that was ok.
Finally our meal came - it took FOREVER but good things come to those who wait, right? Wrong - my mushroom 'ravioli' was actually some mushroom, ricotta with lasagna noodles. It was loose and soupy - not my idea of ravioli. My husband's seafood crepes were in this horrible sauce that tasted like it was powder based....it looked and tasted like something from the school cafeteria. The manager came by to ask how our meal was and I told him not so good. He seemed a little off guard that someone was telling him the truth but at least he asked.
Nothing about the food was French and the whole experience from the ambiance to the food was disappointing and expensive. I wish I read the reviews before we dined there.
Pros: Free Parking
Cons: Food, lighting, everything

We waited ages to be seated, and though the place was nearly empty, we were seated next to the kitchen. French onion soup was overdone with far too much beef boulion and salt; crab cakes was actually a single tepid cake with what we could swear was Kraft French dressing on it. The wine didn't show up. Crab stuffed halibut was inedible, slathered in cheese sauce; the salmon bore the weight of burnt potato hash atop it. Worst of all, my CC bank caught the waiter trying to overcharge us by double-swiping--the second time trying to charge us 30-dollars over the bill. We were shocked. Moreover, we were astounded at the prices on food items we would have sent back at a Denny's restaurant. An appalling evening we will never forget.
Pros: Nice interior.
Cons: Worst overall Seattle restaurant experience we've ever had

I've had a good meal off the menu here a couple of years ago. So I didn't think twice about making reservations for Mother's Day brunch buffet. I don't know what has happened to this restaurant, but the meal was something quite atrocious. Everything was below average, bland, uninspired -- except in cases where it was really awful. After I've tried every other nice restaurant in Seattle, I might come back here just to see if anything has improved. Not.
Pros: I didn't get sick
Cons: If I had gotten sick, they might have given my money back.

Calling Mother's Day dinner a disappointment would be an understatement. I was skeptical from the beginning when they were able to accommodate our party of 8 on short notice. Once we were seated, our server informed us that they already ran out of 4 entrees so half of us settled for meals we didn't really want (earlier customers didn't want them either obviously). There is simply no excuse for running out of food at 6:30p on Mother's Day. When the food arrived, the hash brown potato crust on the salmon was charred to a black crisp, and the steak, ordered medium, showed no sign of pink in the center. Furthermore, the bouillabaisse was completely bland and the French onion soup was overly salty and inedible.
The only positive remark I can make is that our server remained very pleasant and polite while apologizing for our dissatisfaction with the food.
I dine out frequently and have never been so outraged by the quality vs. cost of a meal. If it weren't for the Warwick Hotel guests (i.e. innocent tourists that don't know any better) and random once-but-never-again customers like me, I doubt this place would survive. It truly was my worst dining experience ever.
