I always leave here with these grand visions in my head of the glorious, gourmet meals I'm going to produce, just from being so inspired by all the pretty cooking do dads in this store. So far, it hasn't happened. But it might, if I keep wandering through here on my lunch hour! This store has a wide assortment of pricey pots, pans, casseroles, gadets, glassware, etc. all artfully displayed, which makes browsing here a lot of fun.

I love City Kitchens, downtown on 4th, just south of Macy's. If you love to cook or know someone who does, you should know the value of good tools. They are not cheap -- they are good! The knowledgeable staff almost always have first-hand experience in using the pots and pans, the knives, and a lot of the kitchen tools and can help you make an informed decision. The month of September is their annual sale. I buy my cook in the family all of his kitchen gadgets in September as well as presents for folks during the year!

If you love to cook, you will love this store. They have tons of little gadgets and colorful gizmos to make cooking more fun. They carry a good supply of high quality cooking items, and also affordable misc kitchen gadgets. In addition to the functional items, they also have some beautiful tea sets, serving dishes and cutting boards.
If you visit, make sure to check out the deals in the bargain room off the south side of the store. There's always something useful on clearance in there. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful when we need to find something.
Their odd assortment of chicken ceramics and deco stuff are fun to look at also.

If you’re downtown and need a deal on a Wusthof knife, check out City Kitchens. They often have Wusthof’s on sale. They have a complete line of small kitchen appliances, gadgets, table ware, bar ware, plates, pots, you name it. Love the salad spinners. The selection will make you dizzy. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Mostly reasonable prices. Do your homework before you impulse buy.

This store is great- it's not a huge place, but they make use of every square foot of the store. They have almost anything you would be looking for for your kitchen. We go there when we've saved up for a really nice pan, or when we need to get a quick gift for someone. They have it all- and a good selection. If you're loooking for a pepper grinder, I think they have at least 25 different ones. The staff is helpful and during the holiday rush they have things well organized so you're not waiting forever. I think they've been there since the late 80's and it is my favorite kitchen store in Seattle.
