when i first moved to seattle (10 years ago) i tried the polyclinic and didn't really like it. it felt cold, impersonal, etc. then a few years ago i needed to get a new internist so i asked my pediatrician (who i trust with any and all things medical) and he highly recommended dr. elton lee (m.d. and m.p.h. from stanford) at the polyclinic. i've been quite happy with him, and here's a perfect example of why:
i hurt my back. badly. no idea how. i called this morning, they got me in to see him at 2:00 today. i waited in the check-in line for maybe 3 minutes, then went over to dr. lee's area. i sat down in the waiting area, and literally 5 seconds later was called in. the nurse got my stats and then the doc was in the room within 2 minutes. after the exam he had me walk over to x-ray, where i again sat for seconds before getting called in. after the x-rays were completed i walked back to dr. lee's area and the results were already there waiting for me. he went over them with me, gave me my stretching orders and scrip, and had me on my way.
i was in the building for 50 minutes. total. incredible.
