The Husky Deli is so much more than just a deli! It IS that of course, but they also have fabulous ice cream in lots of fun flavors among other things. I enjoy poking through the gourmet foodie supplies. They have a great selection of things you may never have known existed. Great selection of teas here as well.

Husky Deli is a local cornerstone. West Seattle families know and love the place where they can take their kids to have just like their parents did.
Their ice cream is made on site as well as their Waffle Cones. With a wonderful variety from Licorice to the classic Chocolate, one is sure to become a fan of fine quality ice cream.
The Deli provides an array of sandwiches, salads and other foods. They also cater for various events.
They also provide a unique grocery selection of candies, chocolates, and fine foods such as olive oils, olives, spices, etc.
There really isn't anything else like it. If you're new to West Seattle, you must check it out!

Still more to find here than at Thriftway. And the ice cream smacks Ben and Jerry's in the head. The staff is fun and nice. They have the best tea selection in West Seattle. They have lead-like Landbrot from Canada, which is hard to find. They need a remodel, but in this case who cares!

I discovered the Husky Deli when I lived in West Seattle over 20 years ago. It is a great place to find the perfect gift for your hostess when you are going to dinner.
They also carry one of the most extensive lines of flavors that I have seen in Seattle. It is the only place in town I can find Violet flavor to make shortbread with. Also they have an extensive line of chocolates around Christmas for you to be able to fill those Stockings with.
The peple who work her are also very helpfuland I have always noticed a smile when I am being waited on.

This place has the best sandwiches! Normally, I would say, "why pay $6-7 for a sandwich?" but with Husky, the grilled sandwiches are very comforting on a cold, cloudy day. Try the Chicken Pesto, it is oh so tasty. The soup is also very wholesome and filling. I've tried most of their sandwiches and I've enjoyed them all. The people that work there are very nice and helpful. For the most part, there's always high school girls behind the counter and boy, those gals make a mean sandwich!

This little deli has been around long enough for the writer to confess she visited often as a child for the ice cream. The ice cream at Husky' s is smooth or chunky, depending on the flavor, and tastes better than most ice cream shops in town. You may also purchase the ice cream to take home. Another plus, they often have unusual flavors available for consumption. The deli section of the store contains a good assortment of European groceries and an area where one can purchase one of the delectable sandwiches. Next time you are in West Seattle be sure to stop by.

When Ben and Jerry's opened up kitty corner in the Alaska Junction to the venerable Husky Deli, a collective hush came over the area to see who would win the ice cream show down. Ben and Jerry's had the name recognition, but Husky's had Kona Koka Rum . . . and you just can't beat that.
There are many things to like about Husky, the ice cream has long been a local favorite, but I also desperately love the lightly bavarian themed interior (it took many years before I realized that not all delis were bavarian themed). I also like the blue-hued fading posters of Sweden and Germany, the candy section where you can get it measured out for you by the scoop-ful and the cool blocky logo that has stood the test of time. In this place, the concept of "self serve" is still unheard of.
