I am a huge sucker for letterpress stationery, and Flourish has an outstanding selection. The store is small and has a quaint feel, though you can find just about any paper product you could need. They also sell high-end wedding invitations from companies such as Egg Press, Oblation, Page Stationery, etc. These invitations are hard to find, so Flourish is a great resource.
Take your credit card with you when you go, prices aren't cheap, but neither is letterpress. And it is so worth every penny. The look of letterpress is pure class and elegance.

This store in the Pike Place Market has tons of kitchen goodies and if you're in the market for Fiesta Ware, this is definitely the place I suggest. They have open stock pieces and have a HUGE selection. You also get a frequent buyer discount after you purchase so much. The staff is really helpful too!

Sending flowers can be a bit tricky because the florist controls the aesthetic. No matter how specific your direction is (i.e. what flowers to use/not to use), it is ultimately the florist's artistic sensibility that controls, So, it is critical to like/trust the florist's taste. For me, Buckets is the place I trust. Very artistic arrangements -- they use unusual flowers, colors, and combinations (once I saw poppy pods, another time, some funky vegetable looking flower), but they are not so artsy that the arrangements come across smugly. They are always, as I think flowers should be, lovingly selected and cheerful. They are reasonably priced as well -- I can send an arrangement anywhere around town for $40.

The FriendShop is located on the third floor of the new and exciting downtown Seattle Public Library. The building is worth a visit and tour (ask at the information desk) but the gift shop is a REAL find! The space is filled with special items that are related to reading and books and travel and fun! Of course, postcards, books, pens and T-shirts and many other items feature the new library. But there are many other treasures such as jewelry, some made from typewriter keys, and the infamous Nancy Pearl Action figure! The shop specializes in items made by local crafts persons that you will find nowhere else. The FriendShop is staffed mostly by volunteers and the shop's proceeds support the special programs of the library. Stop by! You will come back again and again...the stock keeps changing.

Stopped into this store this weekend to pick out some toasting flutes and walked out 2 hours later as a knowledgeable consumer on top fine china, flatware, and stemware brands! This store only carries the best brands out there. These people really know what they are talking about and were extremely helpful in helping me choose the best toasting glasses and other pieces to register for. They were honest about where I could find the best prices and gave me the low down on all the brands they carry as well as which brands I would get the most use of out for what I would be paying.
The cool thing about this gallery is that you can register here for all of you china, stemware, and flatware. They also have a program where you can come back in the store after the honeymoon and they will give you the total dollar amount that was purchased for you. So you can look at all the pieces you received as gifts and can either decide to take those pieces or put the total dollar amount towards something else in the store.
I found their prices were the same as Macy's so I would recommend talking to these people and getting exactly what you want rather than being sold to by someone at Macy's who doesn't have a clue what they are selling you!
My Mom was stoked about her visit to the store too because she found pieces from her flatware that had been discontinued. They let her pick out the odds and ends that she was missing to complete her set!

I admit it's my female companion who drags me into this boutique, but I'm glad for it. There's a whole line of great shops that we love to drop in on when walking down Pine on our way to downtown, and this is definitely the sweetest. There are lots of little treasures here, selected with care from a proprietor with exceptional taste.
From their website:
"Focusing on fashion and accessories for modern living, Lipstick Traces carries handmade goods by local and international designers for a constantly new selection of original and small run items... A great place to find original gifts ranging from stationary to jewelry, teapots to guitar straps, beside a comprehensive selection of design, photography, and music related books and magazines for the girl with her own style."

Fabulous Mexican crafts in clay, wood, and metal, including colorful dishes, beautifully gaudy crucifixes, and just a few dresses and bajas. Much of the religious and other folk art celebrates holidays such as the Day of the Dead. Nearly everything seems hugely overpriced, but rumor has it that profits go to the artists. Very friendly staff.

While I'm no expert in floral arrangements, I have seen enough to know that the arrangements that Martha Harris Flowers puts together are not run of the mill. I doubt you will find baby's breath anywhere in their store. I recently ordered some flowers for my wife and a spectacular arrangement was delivered the next day.
Of course, this beauty comes at a price, so expect to pay a premium here.
