I've been told to check the place out for a while now and I finally went in with my girlfriend yesterday. The experience was great! Everything was touchable and the set up was inviting. The employees were nice, no one was over our shoulders the entire time. I have every intention to return soon! I highly doubt I'll want to go anywhere else anymore. Plus their website is great when I don't see what I want in the store. Pros: Touchable, Open, Inviting, Website Cons: Small

Babeland is THE place to go if you (man or woman) are in need of something to spice up your bedroom activities. They have all the best vibrators, dildos, strap-ons, cock rings, lubes, condoms, as well as a wide variety of books. The staff makes you feel incredible comfortable and at ease; and are also exceedingly knowledgeable. They also offer classes and workshops (if you are interested check out their web site) I recommend Babeland to everyone. I recently went to quite a few other adult stores in Seattle and NONE of them match up or are even close to how great Babeland is. Pros: great staff, extensive inventory, clean, bright. Cons: parking, thats it.

I ordered something over 2.5 weeks ago, and it turns out one of the items was back ordered (which they did not alert me to when I ordered). Not worried, since I had selected to split ship if something was not in stock, I asked what was back-ordered. Then I went on vacation. I return, Nothing had shipped, (they decided to hold my order against my wishes for the item that wasn't going to be in stock for a month). Now, over 2 weeks later, they still take days between responses, will not ship any of my items until the back ordered piece is in stock, and oh, I paid for everything already. Also, they do not understand why any of this might upset me. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WEBSITE SHIPPING EVER.

When I go shopping for adult toys, I want a staff that is friendly but not too friendly, knowledgeable but not disturbingly so . . . Similarly, when I read a review of an adult toy store, I want it to be specific but not . . . yes, exactly. This is a wonderful woman-owned store with an open, extremely positive atmosphere, and their products are . . . well, just look at my rating. And now that you’ve read a coy and silly review (though very sincere) of this deserving establishment, please let me recommend Kristine’s much more thorough and serious post. I agree with her every word.

I've been here several times to get new toys and to check out the new things on the market. I know I can rely on their expertise, that they don't sell crappy novelty toys, and they are serious about sex. I think it's absolutely fantastic that we are lucky enough to have such a sex-positive woman-positive sex shop, because good sex and orgasm is the key to good health. I'm a childbirth educator, and if only women would orgasm more before conception and during pregnancy, we'd be able to birth our babies in a healthier fashion and not be so scared of our body's ability to make babies and pass them through normally. I refer all my students to Babeland to get some toys and ideas to help that oh-so-fabulously orgasmic time of pregnancy be even more fun (and to tone their uterae for birth!).

I've been into Toys in Babeland several time, usually mid morning, alone...and it's always busy. All of the toys are out on display so that you can touch them and see what you're getting. Buying a harness? They recommend you try them on in their "dressing" room. Normally I would be so embarrassed to do so, but the staff are professional and informative. The shop is spacious and bright, not at all seedy. You feel as if you've walked into a fine boutique. Go in! Explore!

Now called Babeland, this store is a warm, welcoming place to explore. The staff is helpful, informative, never pushy, and very respectful of boundaries. They have a million products that fit every taste (perhaps literally, as they carry flavored all-sorts-of-things). Their selection of most categories far exceeds what I would imagine (who knew there were so many different kinds of adult toys?).
