This shop is one of the highlights of every trip I take down to the waterfront piers in downtown Seattle. What a fun shop! There are all sorts of fun treats, "touristy" souvenirs, and other fun items to take away. This is the perfect place to stop before or after hitting up the aquarium or while strolling along the waterfront. The mummies in the back are such a cool "spooky" treat to behold and the shop is just fun to browse in, regardless if you purchase or not.
Pros: Free to browse, fun selection of misc. stuff,
Cons: You don't get to buy the mummies...

This is a must see for any visiting guest to Seattle. Be sure to head to the back of the store to look at some oddities that might leave you fairly curious!

Do you think you've seen it all?! Well, not yet until you've stopped by The Old Curiosity Shop down on Pier 54 in Seattle. The things you only think happen in fairytales, you'll see preserved in Giant Jars. Three headed pigs, shrunken heads, who wouldn't want to go peruse the shop?

There are certain parts about this store that creep me out. The mummies, the wierd specimens in jars in the back corner, but overall this store is a Seattle must-see. They have everything from games, to toys, to Seattle souvineers, to sites that you would behold anyplace else. It's more of a museum than a shop in my book, but it is great fun - espeically when you take time to play in the shop.

If you haven't been, you have to go! This is the oddest store that you can wander for at least an hour in! It's not as much a place to buy anything as it is a place to browse. It's almost like it's own little museum of oddities. There is everything from shrunken heads, mummies, odd animals and folded dollars. It's down on the Seattle waterfront so parking may be tricky, but it's worth the drive!

This shop located on the waterfront in downtown. It's a favorite place to take tourists because it's unlike any other store you've ever been into! Almost like a museum with the weird artifcats that they have on display. You really have to see it to believe it. It's the best place to buy anything Seattle related because prices are really reasonable and they have a wide selection.

If you are a window shopper or love cool, interesting, or gross things, Ye Olde Curiosity Shop is a good place to kill some time. It might be a little intense for younger kids, but those who appreciate the weird will have a great time. The prices are a bit high, so everytime I go there I just browse. They do not have a lot of conventional stuff anyways, but that is the point of this store.

This is a cute tourist trap on Seattle's Waterfront. This store is one of those not to miss ones. While the shopping is very ho-hum (think tourist gift type items, ie shirts, toys, etc) there is a bigger draw. This store has many authentic historical items shich as coins, knives, and baskets. The largest draw is the 2 mummies that you can get up close and personal with. Well, not that personal as they are behind glass, but close enough for my tastes. They also have a collection of shrunken heads which were a lot more disturbing than the mummies!!
This shop gets very busy but is a definite not miss.
