This place, located in Fremont, carries a really interesting selection of random gifts and cards. The store is pretty funky and it’s fun to browse through the different items. Many of their goods are recycled, such as wallets made of duct tape, and books bound with tire rubber. They carry witty cards and great unique housewarming gifts, like super refrigerator magnets and martini bar accessories. A section of the store is also randomly dedicated to baby and kids clothes and toys that you might not be able to find elsewhere. Overall, the store is definitely worth a look, especially if you are trying to find something different.

They also have a fun section for kids stuff, but all of it is great for adults too! There's alot of those kitchy sorts of magnets and postcards that are a real kick. They have a bunch of cool handmade cards, clothing and other products from local artists as well. It's hard to go in there and not buy anything!

I'm not a good shopper, and I don't have a knack for buying gifts. That's why I love Portage Bay Goods. Anything in the store is a good gift, and there is a great balance of practical, wearable, and/or whimsical items to choose from. And yes they will wrap them, and yes there is something for all ages. Just be aware that if you bring inquisitive kids here, you may have to explain a few risqué sayings on magnets, cards, or chatchkes.

The Portage Bay Cafe is absolutely the best place to eat breakfast! The Pancake Breakfast Bar is amazinly delicious - serving pancakes with ALL the great choice toppings - fresh fruits, whip creme, butter and flavored syrups! On weekends, there can be a long wait but it's all worth it! They can easily accomodate larger parties. And the prices are super cheap and you get a TON!

This is a great little gift store/card store right in the heart of Fremont. The best secret is- they stock Koco Cards (if you don't know of these you should!) for $1 each! Yep. The cards that retail everywhere else for $2.25 are $1 each at this store. I buy them for friends on the east coast and send them boxes full.
