We needed several things done; soffits, gutters, fascia, windows and exterior doors. In short we have replaced nearly every exterior opening our house has, and they are all odd-sized and 'interesting'. WA energy services managed the entire job (otherwise we have needed 3 different contractors), they coordinated all measurements and schedules, did the job when they said they would, finished on time, on budget, and each crew was more professional than the last. They were all there on time each morning, respected our property and cleaned up thoroughly. The quality of the product is impeccible, and every last detail was taken care of (and believe me I am picky!!). They had a thorough contract and every aspect was agreed upon before any work commenced.
The installation crews were terrific. They really went above and beyond just doing their job competently. We've had a lot of projects done on our 1960's fixer-upper. It's an odd little house where nothing is standard. These guys took it all in stride and seemed to really enjoy the transformation they were making. I don't expect a crew to feel quite the sense of 'ownership' in the changes that we do, but every single guy came to work in the morning and seemed excited by the difference they were making (I'll grant you it was a dramatic change).
Mike - who came and did the estimate was also extraordinarily organized (I got 3 other quotes). He broke out our jobs on a series of spreadsheets so we could see exactly what each item was, what our options were and how each one affected cost. It's a big improvement over some guy sitting in his car phoning his 'manager' so they can offer us a 'discount' on a page full of messy writing. WA Energy's price never changed, not even if we would 'commit this week'. They also helped us fill out all the paperwork for the energy credits.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with them. I will most definitely do business with them again.

I have been going to Superior Automotive for about 3 years and can't say enough good things about it. It is sometimes hard to find a mechanic you like, but these guys are just great. They know my name and what kind of car I have and are always nice and helpful on the phone and in person. They are also timely and accomadating. They do quality work and try to save you money whenever they can. You can tell they aren't trying to rip anyone off. They also have a really comfortable waiting area and a convienient location. I never really do these reviews unless I really like a place, but I think these guys deserve the props.
Pros: Friendly, Professional, Honest

We have stopped at the Admiral Chevron on the way
to the beach during the summer. It is one of our
favorite stops. The people are friendly and it is
a reminder that in a city as large as Seattle, there
is still some small town atmosphere and friendliness
in business. We look forward to talking with some
of the familiar faces over the years. They always are
well stocked with no only goodies but with new
items when they come out. Tom the manager is
the best at keeping things up to date and fresh.

i have been going to andy's coffee stand for 8 years now and have been though staff changes, etc. i visit the coffee stand 3 x a day (yes, i'm a coffee fiend), and love all the baristas....except... now the boss's daughter is working there, and i'm sorry to say, her coffee is TERRIBLE, she is EXTREMELY SLOW and messy (there's chocolate, coffee and milk all over the outside of the cup, and it's stained my clothes), and she usually gets the order wrong and over charges you. i will not go to the stand if she is working. i don't think anyone has formally complained because she is the boss's daughter, but i'm calling today to voice my complaint... i feel like i'm wasting my money if i go there while she's working because i end up dumping out the majority of my drink. in the future, i will just go to starbucks if i see her there.
Pros: store/gas station employees are great, coffee stand is excellent most days
Cons: barista "serena" makes horrible coffee, slow, messy, etc.

I was so happy with the service I got at Salmon's. I was able to get my car in the shop the same day I called. The technicians were all so helpful and didn't make me feel inferior when I had trouble describing my problem. I was given a ride home and they picked me up (i only live 10 blocks away.) When I picked my car up the bill was less than the estimate and they washed my car! I will never go to another shop if I can help it. I recommend Salmon's to all my friends.

I love this service station and mechanic. The business has been in the heart of the Admiral District forever, and they serve up good old-fashioned service and care as well as superior mechanical expertise. They can fix almost anything, and if they can't, they point you in the direction of someone who cares as much as they do. When I dropped off my car and asked to make change for the bus, the owner hopped in his car and gave me a ride home!

I'm telling you, I haven't had my car washed for, literally, months and I was a little ashamed. I had forgotten that my beautiful Lincoln Towncar had whitewall tires, and for only ten dollars my whitewalls were shining and my car was happy again. Brown Bear is the best in town.
PROS: GREAT WASHES AND SERVICE

I have been going to these guys for several years and can't say enough good about them. As a rule, I tend to be skeptical of mechanics, but these guys have proven over and over to be honest and straightforward. They also have the customer's best interests in mind and try to do the job with the minimum of labor invested to do the job right.

Mike bought this station a few years ago when Texaco decided to close it. He's the most trustworthy mechanic I've ever dealt with. He has given me every level of recommendation for my car - cheapest/survival fix through most thorough - without trying to sway my decision. His employees are all top notch as well. One even had paintings hanging at the baker across the street for sale. It's a total neighborhood shop, no corporate influence.

I like these guys because they're older guys who really don't need to be doing this any more but love cars and working on them. They always come in with realistic estimates and never BS you. Plus, they get the work done pronto. I give them the best rating of the local shops -- and I've used a lot of them in the last thirty years.
Pros: Experienced, good pricing, fast.
Cons: Located on 5th -- only one bus an hour
