I love to go to Greener Lifestyles. Upon a quick pass-by, it seems like just another store, but when you go in and really look at what they have there, you realize how good it could feel to live a greener lifestyle. They have organic sheets, sustainable flooring, cool bags, and more. The owner is adorable too. When we move into a bigger place, I hope to use her services.

Dixons is a great place to look through if you're shopping for furniture. A lot of what they have is cheap used furniture perfect for someone who wants to outfit an apartment for under $300, but once in a while they have some nice stuff that they sell pretty cheap. Ask them about delivery, I've had a few things delivered back when I lived in capitol hill and the charges were reasonable.

They also sell some beautiful table linens that would make great gifts for anyone. The staff is friendly and could answer any question about any of the gadgets they sell.

I enjoy going places where you can find fun and interesting ideas. This gets me inspired to do things around the house and to fix the place up. I like going here with my designer friends and my girlfriend thinks it wonderful. I definitely recommend to my friends!

Be careful when you step into Laguna, there are pots and plates everywhere. I don't know where they find all the vintage and retro pottery they have, but it's the place to go to replace a broken or missing piece if you have an older set. Be sure to check out the chip/crack room. You'll find crazy prices on cracked or chipped pottery that make great vases or accent pieces.

I didn't think I'd be able to afford a leather sofa, even used, but when I saw the mauve one here for under $400, I knew it would have to be mine. The owners here were great, even delivered it to our apartment for a nominal fee. This is supposed to be a "used" furniture shop, but it feels more like an "antique" one. Except for the prices! Maybe garage sale is the term I want. At any rate, if you need anything that you don't want to fall apart and don't want to spend a bundle, check this place out!

Pottery Barn Kids is a great store with all kinds of neat stuff. The only trouble is their prices! They are pretty expensive, but if you shop the sales you can sometimes find good deals. My favorite things are the kids' bedding - sometimes I go into the store just to admire it. They come up with such pretty designs; they're awfully hard to resist!
