If you're looking for good deals on stylish, well-made modern furniture for the home, don't miss the Kasala Outlet in SODO. I think it's on 6th and Massachusetts SE of Safeco Field. My wife and I picked up a set of four dining room chairs for a fraction of what we would have paid at the retail store. There was a nearly imperceptible mark on one of the chairs which is why we were able to find them at the outlet. It can be hit or miss so be sure to go again if you didn't find what you were looking for the first time.

This is more of a merchantile than a boutque. If you want to buy a couch, they have catalogs. If you want to buy a rug, they have samples. I spend an average of 1 hour in this store because they have so much to offer and it's really fun exploring their shelves, samples and sitting on the chairs. Don't be thrown off by the suburban housewife style as there are always urban treasures to be had.
Pros: Variety, Professional

Good Selection, very nice sales people, price is very good. My wife love the red sectional there, and the sales people asked us if we are in the military, because they offer 20% off. Very happy with the purchase.

I am OBSESSED with this store! :) I buy a piece or two from Year of the Monkey every year and have been thrilled with both the product and the experience each time. I am impressed not only with the extensive selection, but the incredible level of customer service that is provided. Not a single visit from friends at my place goes by without people commenting on my gorgeous pieces I have purchased from Year of the Monkey. I joke (only half-joke, actually) about purchasing a larger home so that I can continue to buy even more new pieces--there is always SOMETHING extremely tempting in the store!
Pros: Cool ambience, great selection, personalized service

Walking into Peter Norris is walking into the most beautiful garden shop in the world, where if you had enough cash you could come away with everything for your patio you would need to have the loveliest fantasy patio in Seattle. They have fountains, garden pots (thousands of 'em), huge glass vases, candles galore, teak furnishings (tables, chairs, etc.), paintings, gifts and everything else one could imagine. Plus, we were offered a latte upon entering the showroom! Gotta love that! We came away with one table, but plan on saving up for that huge 3-tiered fountian/birdbath and coming back to get it just as soon as we can possibly afford it! They will also stage your home when you go to sell it if you want them to. We actually saw a home in Madrona that they staged and it was fabulous! What a great store! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

You can find some great buys on wine here. And some very interesting wines, too. And, check out the foods - from many different parts of the world.
Plus, they have every other kind of thing for the home. Very fun shopping experience.
Go during any holiday and they will have all kinds of items for celebrating!
Prices are reasonable. Parking is, well, typical for downtown. (The Bellevue Cost Plus near BellSquare has a parking lot.)
