I've been going to the Seattle Center for events for years, but recently my wife and I decided to try out Michelangelo's Bistro & Bar. A new chef has completely redesigned the menu, streamlined it, and produced a very nice selection. I had the fresh catch (Wild caught Pacific Salmon grilled, with oven roasted potatoes and a salad of cucumbers and shaved fennel) and my wife had the Linguine with fresh manila clams. Everything was so well executed I almost forgot that we were at the Seattle Center. I would definitely eat there again before our next event.
Pros: Food, Location, Convenience
Cons: Hours

I found Gamba's while at the dog park across the street from his restaurant. I saw the $1 sushi happy hour sign and decided OK... Well that was 3-4 months ago and I have been eating there at least 2-3 times each week. This place looks expensive, but is the best deal on Sushi in all of Seattle.
Gamba has created his own rolls which are indescribable. The people are freindly and we have found that people tend to share their last few bites (untouched of course) with other customers. We followed along and do the same when we have something left. - His portions are large, inexpensive and delicious. I found most of his customers are regulars. Once you visit Gamba's you will become a regular as well.
Great selection on Beer, Wine and Saki.
A menu that makes sense.
Great Pricing.
All day happy hour on Saturdays.
Weekday Happy Hour from 4pm -11pm
They deliver as well. What more could you want? Oh yes one more note... The Deep Fried Calamari I had for the first time just last night. Wow,,, He cuts it up, dips it Lightly into batter (excellent batter) and when he serves it with his special sauce, it leaves you speechless. Try it - Mike Taylor
Pros: Best Sushi, Steak and Calamari

Nice atmosphere with lots of candles and a gentleman playing the guitar. We ate in the bar and mostly ate off of the tapas menu which was delicious, satisfying and quite a good deal. The best tortilla de papas (we ordered a 2nd), tasty shrimp and the french onion soup had that deep, rich flavor it requires. We topped it all off with chocolate souffle for dessert. Que rico!

My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary here and I just want to do it all over again, and again! We had the Chef's tasting menu with seven courses:
1-Starting with oysters on the half shell. Now I am not usually into oysters- it's a texture thing- but these were delicious! half of them had a pink grapefruit compote and the other half had a pickled cucumber salad which was my fave.
2-Next was foie gras two ways, one in a smooth and flavorful pate form, the other seared to perfection-both atop crisp Brioche.
3-Then Chilled Vichyssoise, a potato and leek version that was smooth and delicious. The perfect palate cleanser!
4-Next was the Alaskan Halibut with controne Beans heirloom tomatoes and a basil based sauce. It was again a delightful dish.
5-Then came the tenderloin of Beef with demi glace, truffle butter, and silky mashed potatoes. This was our favorite course of all! The tenderloin was cooked perfectly rare/medium rare and melted on your tongue. The truffle butter and the handmade demi glace were perfection, and the potatoes were beaten so silky smooth...Chez Shea has created the ultimate meat and potatoes dish!
6-Next came a cheese trio with an exquisite goat Roquefort bleu cheese (my fave!), a Delice de Bourgogne which was creamy and very strong, then Petit Basque. Served with an apricot compote to cleanse the palate.
7-Finally was dessert which was a light and creamy panna cotta with fresh berries. Perfect for summer, very light and refreshing.
The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, the atmosphere romantic and comfortable, and the food an adventure for the senses.
Pros: AMAZING food, attentive staff, wine list, and more
Cons: pricey!

This place opened up in the Hyatt Olive 8 recently, and I have to say that I was most impressed with the design. Very chic and modern, but not cold. The food was excellent, a nice mix of Northwest and California cuisine. The concept is farm to table, so they seem to be working hard on that (but always hard to know exactly). All in all a very nice meal in a great spot downtown.
Pros: chic, great local food
Cons: none

Highly recommend this place. It's wayyy better than Cremant and comparable to Le Piche.
The food is served as tapas so one can try a variety of dishes. My husband and I ordered 4 items and were content. The seared duck tapa (unofficial name) is probably the best duck preparation I have had - it is an unforgettable flavor. We will definitely be back and have told friends about it.
Pros: excellent food, good service, ambiance
Cons: none

Stopped in for an Espresso and left there after having a Great Crepe to go with my coffee.. Yum! Great place to sit for a while or stop for a quick drink. There were others that were reading the paper I noticed as I waited for my drink. The staff is very friendly and quick. I had a banana and nutella crepe which was wonderful... as I just stopped by for a coffee, but I saw a crepe being served and I decided to have one too. I will for sure stop by again for more of the same...
Pros: Wonderful Espresso and quick Food!
