This is one of my favorite spots to time travel after a fab dinner. Now that they've added fresh fish to the special you don't have to go for the usual fare.
Pros: happy hour and late night industry drinks

This is by far the best pizza I have ever had, in Seattle or elsewhere. I suppose if you order frequently it is kind of expensive, but their customer service is awesome...you call a call center and they place their order for you. They can order your "regular" and they keep you card on file. The Parma Primo is where my heart lies, but I have never had anything I didn't like.
Pros: Best PIzza in Seattle!
Cons: A tad on the pricey side

I have dreams about these cupcakes. When they first opened I went up to Jennifer Shea and rambled like a nutcase on how insanely good everything was. It's just my favorite. I'd pay $10 for these cupcakes. The service people are all bitches but I don't care at all because they hand over cupcakes.
Pros: Their flavors
Cons: Unfriendly service, but I don't mind

I always forget how much I love this place until I get a hankering for a good, old-fashion hamburger that is made fresh. I've never been disappointed and it only gets better with a side of onion rings and I like to occassionally splurge with the SINFUL milkshakes. The whole experience is perfect for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon and always has interesting people watching. Leave your phone in the car, though, they get a little crazy about loud talkers and are trying really hard to buck modern technology. Bring cash or check, no credit cards accepted.
Pros: Great food, fun environment, consistent
Cons: Long lines, no credit cards accepted, loud and crowded

The pizzas are simple but elegant, never over done or "decorated". They make their pasta everyday and you can tell. The staff is a blast. All the sauces are delicate and satisfying.Signature drinks invented in house.
I recommend it without reservation.
Pros: great drinks, fresh pasta, great pizza
Cons: Hard to parlk sometimes

I LOVE this place!! My fiance and I have a hard time finding a place in Seattle or anywhere in Western Washington where we feel comfortable, can have great food at a great price, and love the music. This place has all three. I've been there several times with friends eating plates of appetizers, enjoying the live music. When we were eating there have been live bands. Now, normally, this freaks me out because they usually play too loud and make your ears ring for days...not here. The music was great, the food was better. Not many places have lumpia and blackened chicken on the same menu (and they're both phenomenal). I can't tell you enough how much of a breath of fresh air Ascada is. If I'm coming to Seattle, I'm coming here.
Pros: Great ambiance, phenomenal food at a good price.
Cons: Servers get busy sometimes - you can lose them.

I have only been there a couple of times, but both times the service was excellent. Our server was VERY attentive, and made some excellent recommendations. I appreciated that although we tried a couple of different varieties of sake that neither myself nor my friend cared for, we were not charged for them. We have only been there when it was not crowded, I have no idea what happens to the service level when it gets busy. Heading there again tonight for a friend's birthday!
Pros: Fair price, excellent service
Cons: Food is too pretty to eat!

Very swank atmosphere! High ceilings, low lighting, flowing walls of chiffon undulating, private tables with low bench beds, and a urban unisex bathroom in shimmering irredescent tile. Definitely looks like a place for a romantic evening of fun.
I met after work for a quick wine and small plate with a few girlfriends. HA!! We ended up staying until after 9pm partaking in many small plates, each one an exquisite execution and a unique presentation. We tried the Calamari Steak with a remolade of olives, nuts, and cheese...melt in your mouth good. Clams with Chorizo...spicy and great sauce for dipping the crusty bread. Ceviche of lobster, scallop and shrimp was to die for...topped with an orange/citrus grenache that made the flavors pop in my mouth. A Tuna Salad arrived next served in a Spanish Niccoise style complete with quail egg, potatoes, veggies and a spicy sauce for dipping surrounding a bed of well dressed spicy greens. The Empanadillas arrived warm from the oven with spicy cheese and carmelized onions oozing from these little packages that were cooked to perfection. Speaking of decadent, we ordered the flourless Choocolate Cake that was filled with a nut reduction reminiscent of a Reeses Peanut butter cup. And if that was not enough, we tried the Creme Brulee that arrived topped with an orange slice that had been dusted with coarse sugar and toasted to perfection.
I almost shed a tear when we were leaving because this fabulous live band was just warming up to play some great danceable south of the border salsa music. Definitely have to bring my husband here on a date night!
Pros: swank atmosphere and lush selection of food
Cons: NA

I love the Blue Onion Bistro. It's right in my neighborhood and is so friendly and welcoming. Last time I went the owner was sitting at one of the tables near us, playing with army men, and one of the patrons treated us to some "Stairway to Heaven" on the guitar placed in the corner for just that purpose. There's nothing I like better than to head over there with my boyfriend and share the Sunday paper while we eat our way through enough calories for the next week - the BOB serves up giant portions of everyone's favorite comfort foods. The chicken fried steak is literally as big as my head and is absolute perfection. I can't allow myself to go there nearly as often as I'd like, because I would weigh 500 lbs! I highly recommend...in moderation, unless you have a hollow leg.
Pros: Quirky decor, friendly people, great comfort food
Cons: No magic calorie removal system
