I went to a wine event tonight at Saint Germain with a girlfriend of mine. We loved the intimate feel and the wine was delicious. There was live music and there were many people mulling around sipping from stemless wine glasses, eating delicious looking desserts and chatting with one another.
The staff wasn't extraordinarily attentive, but there was a lot going on and many people walking around.
I will definitely be back, I'd love to try a meal next time!

We had a very enjoyable and affordable dinner at Saint-Germain Cafe on Friday. Loved the shaved parmesan with 25 year old balsamic vinegar! They have a very simple menu but everything we tried was delicious --with a slightly unique slant (e.g. lavender vinaigrette on the salad).
Nice wine list with a wide range of prices! We’ll definitely be going back since its within walking distance of home. The only change I’d like to see is that they turn down the music slightly to make conversation across the table little easier!

This is an exciting new place on Madison, very charming and great bistro food. Everything was perfect. Advocado soup, open face "tartine" with goat cheese and smoked magret of duck, pear fondant dessert. Great service, good ambiance, very reasonable.
Finally a real French bistro at reasonable prices.
