Kozaks is located on 15th in Capitol Hill in a spot where i've seen about 3 other restaurants come and go. So, i have to give them props for being able to stick around for so long. My husband and i went there the other day because we were both craving hamburgers for some reason. They have 6 or so different kinds on their menu (plus a bunch of other stuff - there menu is pretty big). I had the goat cheese and bacon burger and it was SO good. The bun was REALLY good. They serve it up with home made chips from potatoes, yams, and other root veggies. They were a little greasy, but yummy. They were also playing one of the world cup games - they have about 4 or so nice TV's throughout the bar/restaurant. A while back someone made a post about where to go see the games in a kid friendly environment, this place would probably ok for that. So, my only problem was that the bartender was the only person in the front of the house, and there were at least 20 or so patrons in the bar and dining room. He was obviously in the weeds. A really good bartender probably could of handled it. He looked a little stressed. Also, it took 30 minutes to get our burgers, which seems a bit long. It was pretty reasonably priced and maybe on a day where there is more staff, it would have been a better experience.
