Love this place, food is great and quick. They did close many times due someone's family member getting sick. Now they are back I can't wait to eat there again.

I have no idea what anything else in this restaurant tastes like. But I LOVE the house special fried rice. It comes with hot and sour soup, which is okay. But it's really the fried rice that's delicious. It is definitely a lot of food--so be prepared to share, or else you may not be able to resist and will finish the whole thing...

OK, I know I have complained about the cleanliness of other Chinese food places in town, but at least this little gem is CLEAN! And the food is plentiful, delicious but they only take CASH (much to the consternation of some of my fellow diners) but you only need $13 or so to feed 2 people and have enough left over for lunch the next day. Green Village is family owned and, legend has it, that when one of the children of one of the waiters became sick with leukemia, they closed the restaurant for 6 months so the family could take care of the child. That story touched me immensely. It's tiny and you might have to sit at a table with strangers, but the food rewards and customers are genuinely welcomed upon arrival and genuinely thanked upon leaving. What a treasure in Seattle's International District. I loved it and can't wait until my next visit. It ain't fancy, but it's wonderful.
