It may surprise some folks just how many people are hungry and not making ends meet in our community. From what I have seen, many of these families are working poor. They work full time or more but have little or nothing left due to cost of living in the area. Northwest Harvest seems to do a very good job of helping people who really need it. They can get a meal or a bag of groceries designed to feed a family. How a community takes care of its members in need says an awful lot about it. Northwest Harvest does a good job of making lives better in our community and we are all better off for it.

I definitely appreciate what NW Harvest does. They are a valuable asset to our community and are an overall great group to work with. I’ve seen the impact that they can have on people’s lives and it is amazing what a little goodwill can do to help a family. If you ever have a chance, donate to the cause, or even volunteer to help.

This is a fantastic organization dedicated to a very noble cause, helping families put enough food on the table. When I was growing up, our family was extremely poor. There were many times when our only meal would be ramen or a can of tuna fish. But come the holidays we could always count on Northwest Harvest to help us put solid meals on the table.
