His sharing of knowledge, reasonable prices, honesty, and passion for what he does all make for what would truly be called an Oasis. Don't get him going on big block Chevrolets.

If you're interested in high-quality, hand-knotted wool and silk rugs - whether antique or modern -- and don't want to pay the premium for downtown real estate andfancy showrooms, you should absolutely pay a visit to Oasis, located at the intersection of Ravenna an University Way. The owner is a very knowledgeable and very patient collector, who's happy to share his knowledge and walk though his inventory no matter what price range you're looking in (I've been known to shop his "threadbare" pile, which has some great bargains in it if you don't mind the broken-in look).
