Wings Aloft is a good place to learn, and rent whether you are flying as a hobby or for your job.
I had no flight experience when I signed up for lessons, but they found me an instructor I got along with, designed the lessons and schedule to fit my needs, and got my flying comfortably in the first two lessons. I've been learning ever since, and am on track towards a PPL (Private Pilot's License).
Staff is friendly, helpful, and always available. In addition to lessons, there are educational seminars, and fun & social events.

Of reviews written by disgruntled ex employees or would be pilots who find they cannot measure up to the training. Wings Aloft served me just fine. I got what I paid for and then some. Excellent and knowlegable staff, always helpful and even when maintenance became an issue, I was always ushered into a comparable aircraft, or given the same rate. No finer school in Seattle.

I’ve been flying for over 25 years and chose Wings as the school for my son to train at.
Everyone on their Instructor/Pilot management staff has over 5,000 hours of flight time and the experience shows. Their Private Pilot training program organized and well thought out with a good mix of regulatory compliance and real world flying training.
They get a “10” for having a professional program that will save you time and money.

Anyway, I can't recommend Wings Aloft. The owner is never available to talk when you need him, there aren't 30 planes as advertised - more like 10. You can't get a multi rating because the plane's been in the shop for months and nobody will lease back one to them. The hangars are falling apart, as is their reputation.
I can't understand their billing system and their club fees are the highest in the area. The instructors there seem like time builders and not really interested in getting you ahead.

Several aircraft owners have removed their planes from this school in the past year and other planes have been repo'd. Wouldn't trust them.

WAY over-priced.
bills are hard to understand so it's easy to get ripped off.
The website is either in serious need of updating or full of lies. The airplanes keep getting repo'd.

Finished my Private Pilot Training in a total of 3 months and 52 hours. The ground school was excellent and taught by one very experienced instructor with over 4,000 hours of flight time and one TA. My instructor mapped out the entire course schedule during our first session and with the exception of a few weather delays we stayed right on schedule. He estimated the course would take 60 flight hours and I came in under budget. I highly recommend Thomas as an instructor!
