A great studio, with incredible instructors!! They work with you and provide lots of great encouragement. They talk you through the postures and help individuals in the class improve. Very supportive teaching style, with positive feedback rather than criticism. I have been practicing there for five years, and both the studio and Bickram yoga are incredible. I have practiced in other studios in different cities, and the Sweatbox is the best. If you want to practice or try Bickram yoga in Seattle, the Sweatbox is the place!

I used to do Baptist Power Yoga in Boston and loved it. So i thought i would try Hot Bikram Yoga. But Hot Bikram Yoga is nothing close to Hot Baptist Yoga. Baptist Yoga has more of a flow and is more about strength. Bikram Yoga has no flow and at this place it is more beginner level. Positions are only done twice and not held very long at all. If you are new to Yoga the heat also make it much easier since you are not as tight. So I would very much say that this place is a great place for beginner yoga. But of course you have to like the heat as well.

The Sweatbox is a great studio in the heart of Capitol Hill. The instructors are great. They maintain a strict discipline keeping with the Bikram philosophy, but they don't take themselves too seriously. They have a good time, and with a yoga practice that repeats itself over and over again, that's important. I am able to really focus on my own practice, while at the same time being aware life does not begin and end with yoga, but that yoga is the thread going through it.
