Too often the pool's heater has malfunctioned or is broken. The large whirlpool/jacuzzi is often out-order too.
The small weight room has been neglected. One machine has been broken for over a year! While air conditioning is available for the weight room, it is rarely turned on when it is needed the most - during the summer.
The facility has deteriorated to the point of no return and the monthly dues are VERY expensive especially in light of the fact that the facility is not fully operational..

The place does look rather dive-y, the front desk staff is a bit sketchy, and the clientele is mostly geriatric, but this is actually a very good place to take kids for swim classes. You don't have to be a member to take classes there. They will let you start anytime and prorate the class fee (usually $64 for 8 classes, if I recall correctly). The instructors range from pretty good to great, the pool is big and has a lot of shallow-water space, and the water is usually fairly warm. The dressing rooms/showers are fine, with lots of lockers, benches, etc. We've gone off and on for several years and overall, it's been a fine experience.

I've been looking for an alternative to lap swimming at the crowded Seattle public pools. I came across Aqua Dive recently. If you are just looking for a place to swim, it is a good choice. It also has a decent weight room and cardio area.
The building looks like it was built in 1970 and has been untouched ever since. It could use some maintenance and some new paint, but if you are just looking for a basic place to swim it is a good option.
