I agree with Melinda! I have also been a patient of Dr. Vega's for many years and love his thorough, attentive, caring, Naturopathic approach. He is one of the best doctors in Washington or, maybe, on the West Coast! Sometimes their office is busy and sometimes you have to wait but it's always worth the wait to work with a doctor who really knows what they're doing and who really cares.

Not to be a drama queen. I went to Seattle Healing Arts yesterday to be checked to see if I had pneumonia. I was pretty sick. (I've had pneumonia before, etc., etc. -- I was not crying wolf, honest.) My doctor, Marcie Hammrick, moved to this clinic with the express purpose, she said, of being able to give more time to her patients. Well, not yesterday - apparently she was over-booked. So the receptionist put me in with another doctor. I never saw him. After waiting 25 minutes for what was to have been a 10 minute appt., I had to leave - another obligation. The clinic's response was unhelpful - no more appointments until more than 24 hours later - and unprofessional (giggling on the phone about her boyfriend). I won't be going back.

I have been a patient of Fernando Vega's on and off for 20 years. I love him because he knows and understands allopathy as well as naturopathy and that is rare these days! Last year, when I was extremely sick with a life-threatening illness Dr. Vega actually ran into the waiting area and took me back to his office, himself, when he found out we had arrived. I have never seen any other doctor do that, ever. They always have their nurses show you to your room. That greatly impressed me. My husband needed a colonoscopy this past year and Dr. Vega did it in office which made my husband feel much better. Vega will offer nutritional counseling as well as write regular prescriptions. He is one of the few docs in town (that I have found, anyway) who actually cares and doesn't treat every patient exactly the same way. Thank you Dr. Vega for being the amazing human being that you are. Every other doctor in his practice is also wonderful.
