I am a female doctor and have been wearing contacts for a number of years. Although I feel that my patients respect me on many levels, they still seem to be skeptical--asking "Where is the Doctor?" when I enter the room. I finally got sick to of the gender skepticism and decided to get real glasses to have a "smarter" look. Market Optical helped me pick out the perfect frame that wasn't too clunky, but exuded intelligence and sophistication. Courtney was very warm and empathetic with her approach to my needs and really spent time talking about my face shape and eye shape so that they fit the glasses just perfectly!
Now, entering the patient's room, I feel that they see me as the doctor. Go to the Pike Place Market Optical. They really know how to balance so many personal needs when it comes to picking the right frame! Thank you Market Optical!!

This shop is tucked away in one of the back corridors of Pike Place Market and can be a bit hard to find. However, it's worth the trip as they have a good selection of eyeglasses in a wide range of styles. The staff is very helpful in suggesting possibilities and giving valid opinions on which styles fit best with your face shape. Prices tend toward the expensive but the quality of the frames is high.
