Don't let Lorali's crazy glasses fool you. She is the best. Her gentle encouragement and understanding of how glasses and facial feature fit together was what I needed. She has fit several of my friends and we all look great. If you want to look great, go see Lorali at Ottica.

I can honestly say I've never had a more pleasant and more professional experience at an optometrist. In less than an hour, I had an updated prescription, new contacts, and new glasses. Everybody I dealt with was very polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. I'll definitely be back, and I've never said that before about other optometrists. Glad to have found a good one, finally.

I've been getting my hair cut and colored by Ida McClain at Spex for 8 years now, Every single time I go, I come out looking and feeling fantastic! Ida is a master with color and style. And, when you say you only want an inch off, it's really and truly an inch, not the "hairstylist's inch". If you want to be more adventurous, there is no style that is beyond her skill. There's no pushing products on you, though she's happy to suggest things that will keep your hair looking just the way it does after she's worked her magic.
Ida is truly one of the finest hidden gems in Seattle!

I love Market Optical and their employees- Wendy (now at Bellevue store) and Bill (Pike Place) are fantastic- they are excellent at combining facial features/personalities with the perfect frame and they are both very friendly and helpful. I have been buying my glasses from them since I moved here in 1988. I am waiting for 3 new frames to come in right now!
Another important thing- they stand by all of their work.

I was very impressed with this shop, and very surprised to see the negative reviews on here. Dr. Conner took lots of time with me to explain what was going on with my eyes, which I have not experienced with other doctors (previous doctors have always rushed me through their office without a chance to ask questions). The lady who helped me with glasses worked with me until I found some frames I really liked - and she didn't try to BS me into getting frames that I didn't care for, and didn't look good on me. They also gave me a discount on my glasses, just because I was worried about money. Everyone in the store was very sweet and never made me feel overly rushed or ignored. I got the feeling like they really cared. I will definitely go back next year! Apparently there's some huge sale in the summer...? I hope so, they've got nice stuff!

I have been a patient at Davis optical for a couple of years now, and I am extremely pleased with their service. They are very flexible and have always been courteous. Doctor Tom, the optometrist, is nicest and kindest doctor I have ever met. The receptionists are always willing to help, and have always been patient with me, even though it took me a while to figure out how to put in contact lenses!! I even had to change my brand of contacts a couple of times because of irritation, nevertheless, they were always willing to accommodate my needs in quick and respectful manner. If you need an optometrist or contact lenses....Davis optical is the place to go....

Located in Lower Queen Anne / Uptown in the intersection of 4th Ave. West and Mercer, Queen Anne Vision Clinic provides a neighborhood - feel practice in an urban setting. Dr. Takeda and staff were very nice and professional. I had a good experience and went to them for years. They take most insurance, including VSP. Street parking is available.

This was a referral from a co-worker and i couldn't be happier! i've gone several times to see Dr. Scott Jamieson and always been pleased. After the arsenal of tests he is very thorough in explaining what he sees, what it should or shouldn't look like, what it means for my vision and general eye health now and in the future. this is probably pretty standard but he also is a complete crack-up and overall very pleasant.
on my last visit i asked him about lasik for my husband and he said he thinks its a great thing but be careful where you go to get it. he does some work for a downtown insurance company so he routinely examines people who have had BAD lasik experiences from BAD "laser experts". He offers exams for people considering lasik and will tell them how good or poor of a candidate they are, what they can expect in outcome (you'll still need bi-focals as you get older), and which of three lasik centers he recommends for your eye type and condition (apparently cornea thickness among other factors is important).
