Zion's Gate Record's is an awesome record store located a few blocks up from Broadway on E Pike in Capital Hill.
Zion's gate has an excellent selection and specializes in dance hall, dub, and reggae.
This is a huge record store and you can spend days looking and listening through the various vinyl collection. There are two turntables outward facing the front window of the shop so that you can watch people walk by as you sample the large stacks you pull from the shelves.
Zion's gate also stocks some techno, DnB, and House but this is the spot if your looking for Dub or Dancehall.

I take my kids. I take my parents. I take my coworkers. I take my friends. I've probably dragged just about every poor soul I know to these shows, I come so often the Jet City owners know me by name and give me free tickets all the time. I LOVE THEM! :)

I went here with my friend the other day and it was quite the experience. There a lot of historical asian art pieces inside and they also have a generous amount of art from different cultures. The location is pretty easy to find as it is located in the greater part of Seattle. If you like art or have yet to visit an art museum, this is the place to go.

This somewhat difficult to get to golf course, bring a map first time, in a high-priced residential area sits atop a hill overlooking Puget sound and has fantastic city views, worth going just for the photo opportunities. It's a real challenge to walk, up and down across the side of a hill for the last holes, you may want a cart. It is a municipal so staff and locals are very casual and friendly. The snack shop has talented cooks that like their food, you eat well for the money. Despite the city location, you're in a quiet zone, we even spotted a red fox on one occasion. Very popular course. Play mostly moves well but can get slow.

Wall of Sound is a new and used CD and record store located on E Pine st one block east of RT 5. This store specializes in experimental, electronic, and world music. Very interesting selection of music can be found here and you can listen to everything before you buy it. There is a small collection of used records also.
What makes this store interesting is that it seems to share the space with Comfounded Books which sells graphic novels. Very fun store to peruse through. Check out the experimental music selection.

For people who are looking to go on a great, and quick getaway, I'd like to recommend taking the high-speed catamaran operated by Victoria Clipper. They leave form downtown Seattle and go into downtown Victoria, B.C., in about two hours. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficient, and, they take care of all vacation plans for you - from hotels to city tours, to afternoon tea at the Empress Hotel. They give you good deals (even compared to on line vendors), especially if you travel in the middle of the week. And you don't even need a passport to go. Anyways, it is a great way to get out of town for a couple of days for relatively little money and hassle.

I'll admit it. I'm a karaoke junkie. My friends and I call it our ‘group hobby’. When we don’t feel like hitting the bars, we go to booth karaoke. Venus is one of the two options we have found in the city. The good part—all of their music selections are through some online server, so the music queues up fast. The bad side, there are no binders to flip through, so you have to navigate on a secondary, small tv with a remote controller to search for and program the song you want. It doesn’t disrupt the person who is singing, so that is good. The search feature is ok. Selection is decent, probably its biggest downside. Many of the English songs have alternative karaoke videos with japanese actors. The rooms are kind of fun and barrack like in a modern minimalist kind of way. They offer 8 different languages to choose from. I've only been once, but it was a fun evening with good friends.
