In the past year and a half since we bought our house, we have used Mirsky Electric for quite a few things around the house that needed updating.
When we had a major renovation done, our contractor also used Mirsky.
We couldn't be happier with them and the quality of their work. We plan on using them every single time we require the help of an electrician.

I am pleased to report that I took the recommendation of one of my fellow Judy's Book members (http://members.judysbook.com/posts/content/review.aspx?ci=4468) and called Wizard Electric for some work I needed done on my Ballard 4-plex.
I placed a call to the office and got a return by the end of that business day. Vern though he could get "one of his guys" out to look at my "situation" the very next day and he did.
John (I think) came out, diagnosed the "situation" and solved my problem in less time than it takes to watch a bad movie (on my new TV ). The price for labor was right the fix did not involve any demolition. WHEW!
Wizard Electrical is among my list of preferred contractors.
Thank you!

I recently had some phone conversations and a meeting with T&R Electric regarding some potential work on the condo building I live in. T&R was responsive to my inquiries and came out on short notice to tour the condo building.
In the end T&R decided the project was too big for their firm and recommended a few other companies to get in touch with. While they've never actually done electrical work for me (hence the 3 stars) I was impressed at how upfront they were. As large as the project was they didn't try to overreach and put themselves or the condo association in a bad situation. Check out T&R if you're considering some electrical work.

We hired Bowen electric after receiving and accepting a written estimate. After work was completed he was late in sending final bill so we contacted him. The bill we ended up getting was in far excess of what we agreed to both in scope of work and in the cost of materials used. We requested an itemized bill with corrected materials used and labor. The 2nd bill was still not correct and that's when communications broke down as he would not send us an itemized bill only invoices showing totals. After getting no where with him for nearly 3 months, we finally sent him payment for work and materials based on the original estimate with a letter stating payment in full for work done. He cashed our check and then 10 months later he sent us to collections.
He did not behave in a professional manner and certainly not in an ethical manner. We tried in good faith to resolve the situation and his answer to is send it to collections with our credit threatened.

We had this company as a subcontactor for our bedroom remodel. Everytime they came, something else would stop working (the lights in the hall, the heated bathroom floor, the outlets in the TV room and lights in the stairs). The last time they claimed it wasn't their fault, "These things just happen sometime....", and they had to rip up the floor in the new bedroom. Funny how "these things" happen after the electrician has just been there...... Their bad attitude and unapologetic stance didn't endear them to me either.
Everyone else the contractor hired did a great job. (see my other reviews)
