The NYU bookstore is ridiculous. They tell you they have sales at the beginning of each term...but they lie. You can find your textbooks for much cheaper at Strand's or any marketplace online. Don't get your textbooks here! They also give you low prices when you try to sell your textbooks back to them.

NYU students: Get your list of required texts ahead of time, and check out EBAY, half.com, amazon.com, or any of a number of online booksellers instead. There are some textbooks that are special NYU editions that can only be purchased at the bookstore, in which you have no choice but to head there. But, if possible, try other alternatives first, because the NYU bookstore is exorbitantly expensive. Much like all things NYU.

Here you can find all textbooks and all kinds of NYU clothing and stationeries are available as well. NYU students can have a tax-free special price. But I wont's recommend buying NYU notebooks here....

Here you can find all textbooks and all kinds of NYU clothing and stationeries are available as well. NYU students can have a tax-free special price. But I wont's recommend buying NYU notebooks here. You can get the same format of notebooks at STAPLES by much cheaper price ($3.00 for 3 notebooks) though there is no NYU cover on it. By the way, it's worth taking a look at the discount area in the basement.
