Plus, this feels straight out of the Seinfeld episode about the cleaners, but last time they tore a hole in a knit shirt and argued with me when I asked them to fix it. They did, but used a contrasting thread so I have to re-do it myself. Lame.
I will be going elsewhere from now on...
Pros: Centrally located
Cons: Unfriendly and argumentative. Maybe overpriced.

After having several bad experiences with other local dry cleaners in Wallingford, I am happy to say I found Ramona Cleaners several years ago and have had consistently excellent service since then. They don't have big sales or coupons, but I believe in this case you do pay for what you get - excellent service and excellent dry cleaning. Clothing is always clean and back when promised. Thank you, Ramona Cleaners!

I have had a couple things altered there and have been thrilled with their service. There is another person who does alternations up on 45th is a very cranky person!
I lived in SE Asia and apologizing openly for mistakes is something that just doesn't happen much. Making amends does, so that is unfortunate that that didn't happen.
My 2 c.

Our experience with Ramona Cleaners has been great. Good service, good quality and great personal service. We do lots of dry cleaning (> $400 a month) and have never had any problems. Owner fixes hems and missing buttons without being asked, has even assisted us in carrying things back to the car when there is more than one trip of clothes. Great turnaround even on large loads, also able to expedite things when a particular item is needed in a pinch. We have also used them for alterations (shortening pants and taking in waists) and have had wonderful outcomes. Would strongly encourage use of this facility.
PROS: good service, good quality for cleaning and alterations
CONS: can't think of any

After several disasspointing interactions with Corry's Cleaning, my wife and I switched to Ramona Cleaners (on the corner of Wallingford Ave and 40th) several years ago, and have been very happy with their service.
They're not extraordinary for what they do - they get your clothes clean as promised, on time, for a fair price - but for what they *don't* do: they don't break buttons, your clothes don't mysteriously disappear, they don't deliver 'clean' clothes with mysterious new stains on them, etc.
It's not exactly Greenlake, but if you shop at the Wallingford QFC, they're just a few blocks south and worth a detour.

My husband and I have a TON of dry cleaning and we used to have a great dry cleaner. When we moved to a new neighborhood the search was on for a replacement. We tried Ramona Cleaners because it was so near our new home. However, our first and last experience there was a total disaster.
When I picked up our dry cleaning, we discovered several shirts were missing. When my husband returned to ask about the shirts, he was first told that Ramona absolutely did not have them - we must have miscounted. When he finally convinced them to double check, the shirts were located. My husband was then told that I must not have paid the full amount due ($75) when I picked up the first batch of cleaning. So my husband paid for the newly located shirts - again. In order to get a refund on the double payment for the shirts, we then had to return with our original receipt showing that I had in fact paid the full $75 the first time around. Instead of apologizing, the person at the counter told my husband she had undercharged him for one blouse and would refund him the difference minus the ($2) undercharge.
Obviously mistakes can happen anywhere, no big deal. But the attitude at Ramona seems to be - the business is always right and the customer is always wrong. There was never an apology or an effort to make things right. We won't be back.
