Dry cleaning is the biggest scam! It is right up there with haircuts and auto work (two service that typically come with a higher price tag for women). It makes me crazy. Now that rant is off my chest....I like Sparkle Cleaner in Ballard (two locations). They consistently do quality work and their prices are not a moving target. Of course they do not publish rates (no dry cleaner except Four Seasons and Bargs does that) so I tend to ask at drop off, make sure they put the quote in writing and take a copy of the ticket with me. We have sent them our (easy) alterations with 100% success. I did have one occasion when I needed them to redo a cleaning (clearly my dressed got missed) and they did it happily.

Sparkle Cleaners is everything a dry cleaner should be: clean, friendly, efficient, and no frills. Possessing an ability to get rid of stains which has clearly helped them stay in business, they even have their name in neon lights. Family-owned (or at the least, feeling family-owned), this is a reliable establishment with many repeat customers.
