He has been in his own practice in Seattle for about ten years. One of my friends had an eyelid lift from him and she had a great result too.. Good: I was referred by my primary care physician because of an eyelid lesion. Dr. Carey removed it and reconstructed my eyelid. it healed without a scar. I am very pleased. It turned out to be a cancer that would have spread without his expertise.. Bad: He was very up front. Insurance covered most of the cost.. Improvements: Nice person , hard worker and very skilled.. Other: he is very pleasant. He has taken care of my whole family for years including my father in which he did cosmetic eyelid surgery.

He is good w/the older patnts, but does not seem to like children too much. His office is very dusty,& his office manager seems to walk around doing nothing. I have been there about 12x, & she never remembers me. The receptionist is good though. He has a high turnover for reception. He is social,but moody. He will snap at you sometimes,,..maybe he doesn't like the way i look? The worst is the wait...I have waited almost 1 hour, but I live too far to just leave.I am now with a new opthamologist becuz of this

Dr. Tim Carey is an Ophthalmologist, Eyeplastic (Oculoplastic) Surgeon and he also does Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery, Blepharoplasty, Ptosis, CO2 Laser Resurfacing. I went to time by referral when I poked myself in the eye with a tree branch so badly I couldn't open my eye. I was really happy about how how quickly Tim got me in and treated me. What really impressed me the most was how efficient Tim is in getting to the problem, and educating you as he goes along. He really knows his stuff and seems to care about his patients, more so than most doctors do. Tim also owns his own practice, so he's able to control the way things done with autonomy. His office is not a glass & marble palace - he focused on the care he gives. After chatting a bit afterwards, I learned that he has an extensive record of treating the local sporting teams players (like UW, Seahawks and Mariners). Great guy, very competent and I'd recommend him to anyone.
