I have three small children and we have always had D. Altemeier as our pediatrician. She is patient, informed and compassionate. Well the front office could be a bit nicer I have nothing but good things to say about the doctors and nurses we have encountered at the West Seattle Swedish Clinic. Dr. Altemeier has an amazing ability to make you feel like you and your child are the only important thing at the moment and she has all the time in the world to help and listen. If you can't get into to see Altemeier then my next suggestions would be Franklin and Hott, also both very good.

Dr. Susan Altemeier is a pediatrician at the West Seattle Swedish Physicians Children's Clinic, and I can't speak highly enough of her kindness and empathy toward my energetic toddler. She takes the time to answer all of my questions, and, even more importantly, she is patient and understanding when it comes to dealing with my daughter. She is only in the office half time, but I have not found this to be much of a problem because the rest of the staff at the clinic is also excellent and I can usually get a same day appointment if my daughter has come down with something. (Note: I wrote "average" for cost but honestly I am unaware of her costs as compared to average as my insurance is billed directly and I have not cost-shopped for health care.)
