Dr. Bowe was on a list of Peds offered by my OB and I Interviewed Dr. Bowe when I was still pregnant because I wanted to get a sense of who might be caring for my child. I liked him immediately. He was unpretentious, humble and clearly passionate about children. He also wasnt the least bit threatened by the fact that my dad was also a Pediatrician and may be weighing in on my son's healthcare - in fact, he was pleased that I had extra resources available to me and another pair of trained eyes to evaluate medical opinions. My experience with his care of my child over the past three years has buoyed my initial impressions - my son likes him immensely and he has continued to be gentle, thoughtful, unhurried and consistent in his care. I couldnt recommend him more highly.

As new parents, we took our time in finding a good pediatrician by interviewing doctors when I was pregnant. Dr. Bowe struck us as relaxed and kind, unhurried. After having our daughter, we realized how right-on our decision was visit after visit. Murielle, the nurse, is quick and gentle in administering the wicked but necessary shots, and Dr. Bowe always takes the time to answer our questions.

My wife and I chose Dr. Bowe on the strength of Peter S.'s Judy's Book recommendation, and we're so glad we did. As anyone who'd been a first-time parent knows, infants are full of little health surprises, most of which are routine once you know what's going on, but scary for a first-timer. Not only is Dr. Bowe a great doc - just as Peter described - his office makes the whole process of infant health care an almost-pleasant experience. Whenever we call the office, we get informed and helpful advice over the phone - not just a promise to call back later. And whenever it sounds like we need to bring our son in on short notice, they've been great about making room on the schedule - often that same day. We haven't worked with other pediatricians, and this is our first child, so we don't have much data to compare by, but our experience with Dr. Bowe and his office has exceeded our expectations.

David Bowe was not our original pediatrician. But the orginial doctor we chose was not at the hostpital when our son was born, and we were given Dr. Bowe instead. We liked him so much those first few days of our child's life that we decided to stick with him - and we have never regretted that decision. Our son has been through a number of normal (though frieghtening) illnesses since birth, and Dr. Bowe guided us through each of them with terriffic knowledge and bedside manner. He is young but very knowledgable, not overly alarmist, and just seems like a great guy who we feel comfortable entrusting with our baby's health. We feel good about our decision, and I would recommend him to anyone.
