I went to Dr Joseph Zimmer's clinic for simple filling/cavity but i got nasty infection that lasted for several weeks. He is too busy trying to get 2-3 patients in one hour, so he usually spends 15-20 min on one patient and gets constantly paged because other patients are ready. If i did not get nasty gum infection i would have ignored the fact that his hygienist did my filling.... Is not there any medical or government agency that checks these kind of dental clinics to make sure they follow simple sanitation rules and requirements? i think syringe needle should be changed if it has already been used and/or it should be covered and kept in sanitized/clean environment before using on patient.

I love this place! The office is soooo cool & hip. Dr. Zimmer himself is very caring & thoughtful as to what his patients want and or need. He's not trying to sell you dentistry. He gives you options, some kind of expensive, some not. The office cat is the most well behaved creature and well dressed @ that with her COACH collar on! She's definitely a downtown cat! The front office is very helpful, when I had issues with my insurance company paying for a visit I had they were right there to help me figure out what I had to do to get them (my insurance) to pay. I was a witness to a patient having a fit because the girls @ the front asked for payment when the visit was complete which I thought was ridiculous. I mean seriously, when you go Nordstroms to buy a suit, do you have a fit when they ask you to pay for it?? Anyway, thumbs WAAAY up for this office. FYI: They are booked well in advance, so make your appointments before you have a crisis.

Dr. Zimmer is a true professional. He is driven by the patient's needs and takes all factors into consideration when making any recommendations. My husband, his grandparents and parents have all been patients of Dr. Zimmer, which is how I started going. I have referred many friends to see him. His office staff is always friendly, the hygienists are great and I look forward to my check-ups. Dr. Zimmer is an avid reader, and I enjoy discussing his latest reads with him. Make sure to check out the rooftop garden.

Dr. Zimmer's office is a beautiful downtown penthouse in the Medical Dental Building. The zen feeling extends beyond the waiting room (and the cool restroom) into the patient rooms. The hygenist I had was gentle (i'm usually very sensitive) and they uses state-of-the-art techniques for pain management. There are TV's, good music and reading material in the office as well. Dr. Zimmer himself is a handsome man, and is funny and gentle. It was actually a pleasure getting my annual dental exam.

Dr. Zimmer is the best dentist I have ever had. He is frank, shows genuine concern for his patients, and works efficiently, but thoroughly. His office staff is extremely friendly, knowledgable, and very effective. Dr. Zimmer extracted my wisdom teeth and has filled one cavity. These were my first real dental experiences beyond cleanings and exams (no cavities all these years) and I was never uncomfortable or in pain. Dr. Zimmer's hygenists do an excellent job as well. The office is state-of-the-art with electronic record-keeping and instant access dental records. I highly recommend Dr. Zimmer to anyone needing general dental care. As a bonus, you get free movie tickets anytime you refer a patient to him!
