Where do I begin... I have had nothing but problems with this group. The only positive thing I have to say about them is that there receptionist (Jessica) was extremely kind and helpful in scheduling me for dental work. I was having severe migraines for a little while and the PA filled out my chart incorrectly making it appear that this was a long time issue which resulted in my new insurance company sending me the $400 bill due to a "pre-existing condition". Not only that but when I asked the PA (i believe her name was Alana Murphy) if I could get tested for a wheat allergy she told me there are no actual tests to figure that out, and it was something that I would have to figure out on my own. NOT TRUE! it is a simple test! About a year later, and countless hours of trying to get the record straight with my insurance provider, I thought I would give them a second chance and try the dental practice out. BIG MISTAKE! The cleaning wasn't too bad, but when it came time for my filling, I wish I would have found a practice that was capable of fully completing a simple filling. First the filling was done incorrectly leaving me feeling like I had a popcorn kernel stuck in my tooth and making eating uncomfortable... I then went in again, and supposedly had it fixed. If fixing that filling means making it impossible to eat with half of my mouth then it was a job well done... I contacted them telling them of my frustration and my decision to go elsewhere to fix their mistakes. Now, once again, I am going to have to pay out of pocket for their incompetence. They said they would fix it free of charge, but with a track record like that, do they really expect me to return when they have already screwed up 3 times? I had seen the same dentist for 21 years in Colorado and had never felt any pain when I got fillings or cleanings... not the case here. I endured more pain in 30 minutes with them than I had in 21 years with my previous DDS. Two thumbs down!

After a terrible cleaning, I went back for fillings - biggest mistake ever! Now, two weeks later the entire right side of my mouth is still throbbing with very sharp pain. Dr. Mahvash didn't pay attention at ALL. She chit-chatted with the hygienist the entire time and they were both terribly rough, yanking and slipping. Even despite the pain, the fillings themselves are jagged, sharp and abrasive. This practice demands that you pay $200 up front, and charges you $50 if you don't cancel within 48 hrs! They must know how bad they are!

The staff is always pleasant and kind. This is the only dentist that works with my busy schedule (open on Saturdays). The are very thorough, but don't pressure for unnecessary services.

1) Made appt. with Dentist Doctor Harvey (new patient) and never saw her - some young blond woman was apparently the dentist.
2) I ordered a nightguard with a pre-approval. After it was made all of a sudden it cost $82 more dollars than the deductible of $150 cash I paid. They were not helpful in understanding why this bothered me and then I was sent to collections. I paid the $82 extra and will find another dentist!

Seriously, the WORST cleaning I have EVER had! The Dentist herself is nice, but the hygienist were very unprofessional and very rough with my cleaning. I've been there twice and I have already changed dentist!
My favorite part of my experience was when the hygienist made me hold the suction tube the whole time while she half paid attention to what she was doing. She was way more into her conversation with the other hygienist in the OTHER ROOM!!! ha. My husband had the exact same experience and another friend of mine, too! Also, I (nor my husband) couldn't eat for a couple days b/c our teeth were in so much pain from the harsh cleaning! just awful.

A previous reviewer mentioned a hygienist that wasn't so great. I'm not sure but I think that Hygienist is no longer there, I was there today and didn't see her. A new hygienist named Jennifer cleaned my teeth today and I didn't have any problems. I think they do a fine job at Fremont Dental. The receptionist is not very good at her job, but I am tolerant of such things.

I live in Fremont, so I thought it would be great to have a dentist close to me. I went in for filling on two teeth in July 2006. The dentist was pleasant enough, but left the job undone. About two days later, the teeth they worked on really started to hurt. I called the office to find out what to do. The receptionist was very rude and brushed me off. She said the dentist would call me back, but didn't. I called again in a few days when my teeth were really bothering me to get my chart to go to another dentist. Again, she was very rude and said she would send it to me and didn't. Finally, I had to take off from work to walk in and get it myself. There were no apologies at all. I had to get all the work they did REDONE at my expense by other dentist.

This office is a husband and wife team. Dr. Harvey the husband is a physician in the same office, and Dr. Harvey the wife is the dentist. She is great. I’ve often had the “not quite a cavity, but a forming spot” diagnosis, and previous dentists would always push me to get it fixed right away. Dr. Harvey does not seem to want to push for unneccessary dental work, and marked a few spots for checking carefully next time. She is also very nice and pleasant. The more interesting experience in this office was the cleaning. The technician was very, very nice, though not the most gentle I’ve ever had, and she likes to share her whole life with you while polishing your teeth, pausing ever so often to let you nod with your mouth open. I’ll likely stick with this dental office, but will try to ask for a different technician next time I go.
