I was a patient of Jana's for several years. I hope that I will be able to come back and add more. Ultimately she was not on my insurance plus travel downtown is a pain so I found a dentist on my insurance in the northend (still under evaluation). Regardless, she had one hygenist - Karen - who was wonderful. She beat me up good about taking care of my teeth. I have nothing but appreciation for her efforts. Concerns re: Raisler include her use of mercury amalgam - the bottom line here - JUST SAY NO! Also, she kind of blew in and blew out whenever I was there - I was more of a commodity rather than a client/patient. She was never really present. I know she has a lot to do - but that is a how to set up your practice issue. Other than these, she seemed like a pretty decent dentist.

My husband didn't see a dentist for 7 years after a bad experience elsewhere. Now he goes to sleep in Dr. Raisler's chair without any medication. She also has a wonderful staff. I have referred several people and all have been pleased.

She is the daughter of two dentists, the Raislers, who practised together here in Seattle and were my dentists in the 70s and early 80s. When Jana got her degree and they retired I naturally switched to Jana. She is very kind, gentle, and yes preventist / minimalist. Her manner is calm, friendly and confidence-inspiring. Several of my siblings, and my father use her. Highly recommended.

Jana was recommended to me by a friend after I moved here & I am so thankful for the recommendation. She's very nice, knowledgeable, and is a minimalist when it comes to dentistry. I had gone to her after visiting another downtown dentist who made all sorts of recommendations that were totally out of line with my previous long-time dentist back East. It seemed as though this dentist was more interested in the bottom line than in doing what was right by me.
